My go to spot for the best tea in the city! Try the Dhudh pathi, rich milk tea with fresh ginger cardamom and cinnamon spice, with a biscuit (or two, they are that good!). The wide assortment of vegetarian hot food bar is so fresh and nutritious. Owners and staff are so courteous and professional. Highly recommend!

So good! Great vegan & vegetarian options! It was a 10 out of 10! The spinach was great, chickpeas, & lentils with rice! The price was amazing too!

Singh is King! Really heartened to find this place on my New York travels. Directly across the road from the tourist trap that is Katz, enjoyed popping in and having a nice cup of cha and a ‘gup shup’ with sardar ji.

An nyc institution!!! Cash only with cheap prices, great portions, and veg friendly! We got a bag of pakoras (so many!!) and split a small rice with two sides. I liked the numbering system to keep things easy and the kind workers. Will surely be back 🙂

Hot Tea
Our favorite place for vegetarian Indian food in the city. Owner is friendly and he’s been here forever. You got a lot of food for the price. We come every week to have an earthy meal and every time left happily. There’s not so much space to sit but you can take a short walk to the park nearby and enjoy the sun and outdoor in summer time.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. Home cooked food away from home after 5 days of New York’s incredible cuisine.

Exceptional vegetarian food at very low prices at this humble Indian/Punjabi deli. They had one of the best gulab jamuns I have ever had ($2). Cash only though (Unlikely you will need more than 10 bucks though per person). Strongly recommend.

I love this place! I was overseas for 7 months and was craving this for the longest. This was my first stop when I returned to NYC. This is comfort food made with love. Chai tea is delicious. I ordered from here for a week so far. Rice pudding is a must try as well.

Huge portions, very good bang for your buck. We went right at the start of the dinner rush on a Friday. A bit disappointed to see that the food is served reheated. It still tasted really good, but I wouldn’t come all the way here just for it. Would def grab a bite if I’m in the neighbourhood and want a simple and tasty meal. Heads up – this place takes only cash.
