Went there for dinner on first Saturday of 2026. Nice ambience, tasty food and great service. We ordered punjab grill dal ,punjab grill paneer , malai kofta , kadhai chicken and butter naan. With one chocolate shake for my daughter. Paneer was not so good , it was average. Dal was awesome. Malai kofta was also good not so sweet as usually restaurant serve. Chicken was also tasty. It’s beautifully decorated. Liked it.

We visited Panjabi Grill for dinner today and it was great. We were in Connaught place and wanted some local, filling food and this fit the bill. I went for butter roti with laal maans. The mutton bone curry had the right spice level and meat that fell off the bone. My better half went for vegetable biriyani with tadka Dhal and that was spot on. A nice dinner experience although the pricing was on the higher end for New Delhi. Highly recommended!

visited Punjab Grill in Connaught Place (Janpath) with a friend, and we ended up spending around ₹3000 on our meal. Sadly, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. For prices that rival a 5-star hotel, I expected high-quality, authentic Punjabi food – but what we got was far from it.
The Kadai Paneer was particularly bad; the paneer felt tough, dry, and low-quality – it honestly seemed like they were using synthetic or analogue paneer (the kind made with vegetable oils rather than fresh milk). It lacked that fresh, creamy texture you expect from real paneer. The Pindi Chole had an off-putting smell, and strangely, the masala in both dishes tasted exactly the same – no distinct flavors at all.
Overall, the food was bland and lacked soul. Home-cooked meals by our moms taste way better than this! It’s hard to justify such high prices for such poor quality. I wouldn’t recommend visiting any Punjab Grill outlet – think twice (or more) before going. Save your money for somewhere that truly values ingredients and taste.

We had a get together at Punjab Grill on 10.01. 2026. The restaurant had great vibes and delectable food. The staff were courteous. Though it appeared that the food items are slightly pricier, the items were freshly cooked and neatly served with the right spice and aroma. For the non initiated, I would recommend mutton shorba and the non veg kebab platter which would offer him/ her warm welcome in a cold evening. We enjoyed the dining experience thoroughly.

This place is over hyped so when you visit you are led down. So go with normal expactations and you will enjoy the experience.

Pros:
1. Location is amazing
2. Has a decent parking (Not great)
3. Vibe is awesome
4. Ambience is very good
5. Food is just good ( Regular)

Cons:
1. A very small place
2. Over-priced for the experience and taste we got
3. Butter chicken was sad and it made me sad

Will I visit again, I don’t think so, unless someone else invites me and is also paying.

The space looks conjusted, even through decorated in a way, but very claustrophobic like an old school place. The food price point is on the higher side, and didn’t meet the expectations for the food, so highly disappointed on that. We ordered their signature dish was supposed to be a mutton matka recipe but it was so bland, just had pre-made tomato puree and mutton added to it, wherelse it is supposed to be slow cooked, it was nothing like that. The staff was helpful, only good thing.

Visited the outlet today and honestly, it was a mix of good and bad — leaning more towards bad.

The seating is extremely cramped. They keep shifting tables around to adjust space, which makes the place noisy and uncomfortable. The server kept brushing past my chair because there was literally no space in between tables.

On the service front, Kimi was excellent from getting us a table to checking in regularly. But she was clearly overburdened since the restaurant is severely understaffed. She was running around trying to manage everything while the manager, R.K. Singh, looked completely disinterested and was the only one not working. The lack of staff ruins the entire dining experience. If you’re looking to relax and enjoy your food in peace, this is definitely not the place.

Coming to food: overall decent. We ordered tokri chaat, hara bhara kabab, and a few other dishes. The only real disappointment was the palak paneer. Mocktails, however, were a disaster, just sugar syrup with no real flavor.

Conclusion : If you want to enjoy food at peace, expect someone to be attentive to your table. Do Punjab Grill a favour and don’t come visit here.

The food was absolutely fantastic as was the service. My mother and I stopped here for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely be going back before our trip to Delhi is over!

First night in Delhi and we ate here! It was lovely. A little more expensive but worth it. Paid £20 for all this & a naan. Good quality and flavoursome food 🙂

We had a good time at Punjab Grill, Janpath. For dinner, we had Roti, Butter Naan, Dal Tadka, Jeera Rice, Paneer Lababdar, and Dahi Papdi. The food was really good and we enjoyed it to the fullest.
The service was also good. As per our order, it took a little time but was totally worth it.
The other best thing was the ambience. Though small but very pleasing and cosy. The chairs were very comfortable and that added to the amazing overall experience.
Definitely recommend for a good dinner time with family.
