Welcome to Puglia Italian restaurant page. Our goal is the freshness and the authenticity of the Italian cuisine. Everything it’s made at the moment and none of our dishes/sauces are frozen nor pre made. In the weekends the waiting time could be longer but definitely worth it. We recommend reservations. Not only was the service impeccable, but the food was just as amazing! We shared the Wagyu ribeye, meatballs, and caprese. The guests ordered different pastas which were all delicious. My personal favorite was the lobster ravioli.
Big thanks to Davide and the team at Puglia for making our experience so special!
If you’re in Arrowhead and want an unforgettable dining experience ans Italian escape in the mountains, this is your spot!
We made reservations and recommend you do the same!
First, the atmosphere is made with love and you will be greeted with genuine hospitality.
Chef Antonello Zito is a Gran Champion of Chopped Battle Italiano, and the menu reflects it—tradition, technique, and authentic ingredients.
We started with the Insalata Mista: organic spring mix + arugula topped with tomatoes, olives, balsamic glaze, and extra virgin olive oil. We added the burrata—fresh, clean, and the perfect way to open the palate.
For mains:
• Braciole Pasta — thin-sliced braciole beef rolled with garlic, basil, Parmigiano Reggiano, Italian parsley, and herbs, then slow-cooked for over 6 hours in house-made tomato sauce and poured over rigatoni. Pure comfort, done the old-school way.
• Carbonara — linguine with fresh egg yolk, pecorino, and imported guanciale (pork cheek). Simple, rich, and properly executed—no shortcuts.
We enjoyed a glass of red wine with dinner, and then finished with espresso and the homemade tiramisu—absolutely divine. That combo alone is worth the visit.
The food was outstanding. The flavors were rich, authentic, and clearly made with love.
The service was exceptional. My server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations.
Puglia Italian Restaurant is a true hidden gem, and I can’t wait to return for another incredible meal. Highly recommend!
I was visiting from out of town and was really excited to try this place after seeing the menu and photos online. It looked charming and upscale, and I was intentionally searching for a nice restaurant to enjoy during my trip. I’m used to dining in Los Angeles, where service standards are high, but this went far beyond “not great service.” This was something else entirely.
The restaurant itself is extremely small, it can fit maybe 20 people at most, and the parking situation is very limited (around four spots, all taken). Despite the size and the fact that we were the only group inside at the time, we were not greeted warmly upon entering.
We were never offered menus. We were never asked if we had questions. There was no standard introduction or hospitality. Instead, one staff member briefly addressed only two people in our group with a curt “Do you want sparkling water?” and that was the extent of the interaction. The rest of us were not acknowledged directly and had to rely on those two individuals to relay what was being said. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable from the start.
What truly crossed the line was the way the manager spoke to me when the situation escalated. The tone was hostile and unprofessional to a degree I’ve never experienced in a restaurant. There is a clear line between professionalism and aggression, and that line was violated. I have never felt moved to leave a restaurant abruptly before, but in that moment, I did. We left before even receiving menus.
With menu prices starting at $30+ per plate — which I was fully willing and prepared to spend the level of treatment we received was completely unacceptable. When you charge those prices, a baseline level of courtesy and hospitality should be expected.
Please don’t be fooled by the online appearance the way I was. The presentation does not match the reality of the experience.
Waiting time for walk-ins can be over an hour if they get lucky.
Super friendly. 5/5
Food 4/5
Cacio e pepe had a very mild flavor.
The Gnocchi alla Sorrentina was in the sweet side for our liking.
Atmosphere was good, small cabin house made into a restaurant
