We all enjoyed an amazing meal! We loved the garlic bread, salad, chicken marsala, chicken parm, and baked rigatoni that we had! I would go back to this restaurant in a minute if I didn’t live in Miami! And next time I am in NYC I am going back!!
This place has been around for 107 years! That tells you they’ve been doing this right for a very long time!
Went on a thursday night week after valentine’s day so it wasnt packed. This place def good for group dining. Go for the experience
I didnt dare dance on the tables or chairs but it was fun to sing along.
Staff is very attentive w us. Loved it
Dinner: shared bruschetta, lasagna and chicken parm linguine (a lil surprised they didn’t give bread)
Drinks: Moscato wine and coffee
For dessert we shared chocolate cake w ice cream
We made our reservation well over a month in advance and were explicitly told by management that our party would be seated in the main dining area. Upon arrival, we were instead placed in a separate room directly next to a large table of children — not at all the atmosphere we were promised or appropriate for a group of nearly 30-year-old adults who were celebrating with drinks.
When we raised this issue politely, staff refused to move us and provided inconsistent explanations that directly contradicted what had been promised at the time of booking. There was no accountability or meaningful attempt to resolve the situation.
Additionally, we were told ahead of time that sangria would be included as part of the fixed, family-style dining package. Once we arrived, we were informed that this was not actually included, despite being previously communicated otherwise.
The most off-putting part of the evening, however, was being rushed out. We were repeatedly prompted to pay our tab despite only being seated for a short time. At one point, a staff member walked through the dining area tapping his watch and directly told us we needed to hurry because other parties were arriving. This was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome and disposable.
For a restaurant that markets itself as a celebratory, family-style dining experience, this level of disorganization, broken promises, and overt rudeness was unacceptable — especially for a birthday dinner planned far in advance. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, and we will be sure to share this experience with others so they can make an informed decision before booking.
