Had a lunch date here with my besties and it was a beautiful view of the Thames River since we sat outside. For anyone who doesn’t know, this restaurant employs individuals with special needs. The staff were incredibly friendly, prompt, and so happy to serve. The restaurant is very clean. There is plenty of parking available as well.

Service was good, food was good, maybe a little slower than we were expecting it to be, but eating outside on the cover deck was great for me. I do love that they give an opportunity to everyone to work!!! I will go back again for breakfast with my husband.

I found this restaurant on Google Maps. I only gave it four stars for the same reason it deserves 10. It’s mostly staffed by people who are challenged – I hope you get my drift – I can’t think of the proper word. The wait person was good but a little “rigid”, IOW he didn’t know “Healthy Options” (versus hash browns) but he was fast and efficient.

Puffin’s is always serving up the best breakfast in town! What’s even better than the breakfast is the wonderful and caring staff on site! Stephen, Lonnie, and Sherri in the front are always smiling and ready to take your order while Chantalle, Kelly, Jessica & Heather are Chefin’ it up in the back to create plates like this! If your in the Groton area I suggest you stop in!

I’m gonna be completely honest. I picked this place without batting an eye and I’m so happy I did. It’s a restaurant run almost entirely by special needs individuals and everything EVERYTHING is made from scratch in the restaurant. It means food takes a little longer but oh lawd was it worth it. The whole restaurant has a very open layout and is a really friendly space. The food was amazing. I’m from Jersey and I’m here on a weekend vacation and ordered the south western burger. Not only was it fresh, it was massive and the sliced tomato was thick and sweet and juicy. Honestly I would come back everyday for brunch. As a neurodivergent individual I felt pretty comfortable which is hard for me in public.

First experience: when you walk in it’s just a simple cafe. Nothing grand. However, the view of the water is nice with the exception of the construction going on across the way.

LOVED this place! Loved our service and the food was stellar. Wish we had found this place earlier in our visit to CT. Will remember to go here if I am ever back in town. Love the concept and if you are near here you must stop by and enjoy the view and wonderful food. Sweet servers too!
