Crawford Pizza – Hidden Sandwich Gem with Heart
Came in for lunch and left with a full stomach and full appreciation for this spot. Ordered an off-menu hot veggie sub stacked with pizza toppings—lettuce, tomato, green + banana peppers, cheese, and mayo. Lightly toasted, melty, and packed with flavor. The bread alone deserves its own round of applause—crispy outside, soft and chewy inside.
Staff? Exceptionally kind. Watched as they helped a woman in front of us get her order to her car—no hesitation, just genuine care. You don’t see that every day, and it didn’t go unnoticed.
Crawford might say “Pizza” on the sign, but trust me, the sandwich game here is strong.

Great options, the pizza came out very fresh, Piping hot. Price point of the pizza are not too expensive. Everything you expect from a local pizza shop. I would of given it a 5 star but the pizza wasn’t speaking to me . Felt a little ordinary.

Highly recommend. A gem of a restaurant in Crawford near Athens. Greeted by friendly owners and staff. We enjoyed the Supreme and Chicken Bacon Ranch pizzas. Delicious crust and very fresh ingredients. The Squealers bread sticks were outstanding. Trust us, order these! Great food. Great atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating a plus.

Just passing through while going to Athens, I saw their sign in Crawford. I decided to check it out on my trip back. I’m glad I stopped. The food was excellent. Excellent. It does not have a very large dining room, there are three outdoor tables if you want to eat outside. It is right across the street from the Commercial Bank and next door to Jordan Air. Don’t miss it!

The wife and I have heard from locals that the pizza was bland and too expensive for our little town. But after months and months, we decided to give them a shot, and we were not disappointed. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce, the amounts of pepperoni and bacon were perfect, and OMG, the cheese, was amazing along with the dough/ crust and perfectly cooked. Good job, Crawford Pizza. Keep it up, and we will definitely be back for more of that pizza.
