‘s!! I’ve visited many of the locations across Connecticut and this location, hands down is the BEST!!
THE FOOD IS ANAZING!! We’re never disappointed with the serving sizes. The menu has an excellent variety. Even the kids menu offered options that I felt great offering my little one.
Let’s jump in and talk about what absolute gems the staff are!! I mean every time we come in, EVERYONE is so warm and welcoming. Always a smile on every face.
I appreciate the music in the space, authentic and not at all a gimmicky. It’s a perfect volume so you can still talk with the person in front of you. I’ve had the pleasure of being there when live musicians were walking around and that was so fantastic!

Our waiter was the most unprofessional and clueless waiter you can ever have. Did not know or care to explain entrees in the menu. Last time I came here was about year ago and now I remember why don’t keep coming here anymore. Also the food is just salty to the extreme. I order a steak and shrimp and I order the steak medium and got a well done steak. Shrimps were with the shell and not cleaned. The cheese on the refried beans must be imitation shredded yellow cheese. I truly wish this place had better service and better food. But they lack the knowledge and experience for great food and service. Horrible experience and horrendous service. It like they don’t care about quality food or service. This place has gone down the tube.

Went here for a birthday dinner. Wanting to enjoy time with my friends. I was close to finishing my meal and I found a long hair in my food. My hair was tied back. The manager said it is a coincidence that you finished your plate and find a hair and walked away. Mind you the hair found wasn’t my texture hair. I wasn’t done with my food. I was close to done. It truly was an embarrassing comment to receive. It took everything in me not to lose my cool. Came into this restaurant starving. I have been to this location plenty of times and never had any issues until today. Never again. Never again. Flat out disrespectful. He said no females work in the kitchen. But there are female food runners that hover over the food. Which my friend saw when she went to use the bathroom. Manager took it off the tab and with a rude tone repeated about that there are no female servers. I was not in the mood to argue. I felt horrible and this truly ruined my night.

The food, the service, & the atmosphere were all excellent!
We had a good time and everyone loved their food.
The chips & salsa for the table had a good flavor with some spice.
I asked for some spicy salsa and he brought 3 different salsas. I don’t know what they’re called, he didn’t say but all 3 were Delicious!

These are the 3 salsas he brought bcuz I kept asking if they had anything spicier, lol
On a 1-5 scale,
the far left is some kind of tomatilla salsa with some good spice but not crazy
,
the middle one is chunky with mushrooms in it I think and made
me sweat
,
the far right was very good, similar to Chuy’s. I’d call it med hot

I had enough left for 2 more lunches !

I haven’t been to this restaurant in about a decade due to relocation. Found myself in the area so decided to stop by since it used to be welcoming with good food. Read the reviews, saw some unsavory comments so I decided to stop in for myself. I was going to sit in but decided due to the reviews I would order to go to check the temperature. The reviews were right. Not only are they rude. They come racially focused. In a 5 sec interaction of me giving my name and being handed my order right there on the table I was scoffed at, the man rolled his eyes at me twice and handed me the bag with attitude. They do not seem to like b people. Tey’Jah and the other review that said racially motivated were correct. Won’t be back. Mind you my order was almost 50 dollars so I guess they forget they’re running a business. In 2026 you’d think they have bigger fish to fry.

Outstanding service, delicious and big portions of food, fun environment! Even the takeout service is impeccable. They have been known to throw in a complementary shot or desert usually, too.

We absolutely love our Mexican food and this spot is definitely still on the list of spots we would stop at again. Right now were using handicapped parking and like a lot of places we’ve visited the spots could use for a hole fill but other than that they were completely accommodating and friendly in every way. The decor and design of the building was beautiful and we’re big suckers for a running fire place. Only complaint we had was 2 requests for refill on chips and salsa went without being brought to table. Mexican can be made so many ways and the food at this spot was good unfortunately it was just to much cheddar for us, yet it didn’t ruin the flavors of the food underneath. We also decided to splurge on coffee and desert. Churros are a must if available and I can’t say they were bad but unfortunately they weren’t fresh and doey. They must have been premade but again not bad.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Puerto Vallarta and it was honestly an incredible night. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the desserts were amazing, and the whole experience felt special.
You could feel the attention to detail in everything, from the presentation to the service. The entire staff was professional and truly courteous.
Huge respect to the owner, Juan, for creating such a top-tier atmosphere and making sure everything runs at a high level. It shows.
Definitely one of the best Valentine’s dinners we’ve had, we’ll be back. ❤️

On December 23, 2025, at approximately 1:25 PM, my wife and I arrived at Puerto Vallarta to dine, as we have done before. Upon arrival, the server on duty, Francisco, informed us that the owner, Juan Rodríguez, instructed staff not to serve us and to ask us to leave.
When we asked for an explanation, we were told this decision was made because we had previously complained and that food had to be thrown away as a result. This was the first time we were hearing of any such issue. We did not request food to be discarded and were not informed of any problem during our prior visit.
This situation was deeply embarrassing, as it occurred in front of other customers and our children. We remained calm and respectful, yet were asked to leave without warning or clear communication.
We requested clarification in writing while still at the restaurant, but management declined. I later followed up by email requesting written clarification and received no response.
Being refused service in this manner especially in front of our children without transparency or professionalism is unacceptable. The lack of communication afterward only reinforced how poorly this situation was handled.
Thank you for your response. I acknowledge your position I wish your team continued success.
