They make the BEST salsa! I’ll stop by and pick up just the salsa and chips and eat that for girl dinner every so often. But when we have time we dine in and the service is always exceptional, food is the best, and they keep their prices very reasonable. Try the queso with their tortillas! Perfect appetizer!

Never had a bad experience here. Great food. Great portions and value. Service is top-notch. Ownership and management have got it down. I suggest the Queso Chicken Enchillada. My brother got steak tacos. Will be back sooner than later!

My wife suggested this place. Since this place was her go to date place before we were married, I figured, why not try the food and give it a terrible review, right??
It’s a small place, which I love. Decor is nice, gives off the vibe of a family owned restaurant. Immediately upon being seated, our waiter greeted us with chips and salsa. He was very friendly. The salsa was very good. Very spicy, which I love.
We ordered Margaritas and 2 lunch specials. Food came out pretty quickly. Everything looked decent. My wife’s dish was good. Chicken was slightly dry and under seasoned but overall was good. My shrimp was also slightly over cooked and underseasoned but delicious overall. My Margarita was huge and good.
While I feel the food was a 3 out of 5 stars, the service, atmosphere and prices made the overall experience a 4 out for 5. With a tip, our 2 meals and a huge drink was only $40. When I’m in the area or out on a date without the wife, I’ll be back!!

I can’t lie if I didn’t say I really expected better food. Placed a order to go for steak and chicken fajitas. Also order a steak quesadilla and both were not good. The rice seemed old mixed in with fresh rice because some were cooked correctly and others were still crunchy. The steak was overcooked, never asked how I wanted my steak cooked and the beans were ok at best. I’ve been there before and enjoyed it last time. The best thing was the guacamole chips.

The food was interesting… I was disappointed actually because it was lacking in meat in my he meals. The chips seemed stale or maybe they are just the kind that taste that way. I would like to come back and try something different and maybe I would be happy with my meal. Would I recommend? Yes if you’re wanting friendly & interesting food that may be different than Mexican you had in other states.

My best friend, my kid and I had Puerto Vallarta on 3/12/2023 and it was the best Mexican food we had in Sioux Falls.
My friend had a bowl, my kid and I had burritos.
The burritos are huge, the portions are a lot for the price.
The food is high quality and you can taste the love they put into their business.

We have been going to Puerto Vallarta on east 10th Street since the late 1990’s and it is still (by far) our favorite Mexican Restaurant. My favorites are the Cancun Platter (you’ll need an appetite for this one) and the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (#26 on the Lunch Menu). The food and atmosphere is always outstanding!!!

My wife really wanted to going to this Mexican restaurant as it’s on the side of town we normally go to the grocery store unfortunately the chips were hard and stale and very greasy you can see in the photos also the beans were incredibly runny refried beans should not be that runny. My wife ordered a plate with steak sliced steak and it was incredibly tough and overcooked. This is the first and last time we will ever come to this restaurant the glass they brought me for my beer had lipstick on it as well.
