Great place – came here as it was close to our lodging and it was yummy! My husband had birria & carne asada street tacos and I had the carnitas street tacos. Incredibly flavorful and generous servings. They even placed some waxed paper between my refritos and the tacos so the beans wouldn’t make the tacos soggy. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food arrived incredibly quickly. A solid choice for Mexican cuisine!

We had a wonderful experience during happy hour at Puerto Vallarta! We started with a $6 Modelo Negro and a tall $5 vodka water with a splash of cranberry—both great choices to kick off the evening. The complimentary house salsa and refried beans were fresh and tasty, and I was especially excited that they had curtido available when I asked. I love curtido—this Salvadoran cabbage slaw made with cabbage, carrots, onion, oregano, vinegar, and salt is so refreshing, crunchy, and completely addicting.
For our main meal, we shared the Pollo en Mole, which featured strips of boneless chicken breast sautéed in their sweet, authentic Mexican mole sauce. It was flavorful and comforting, and the portion was perfect for sharing at $19.50.
We didn’t get a photo of the main dish this time, but we’re already looking forward to coming back soon!

Puerto Vallarta , a Mexican eatery that left a decent impression overall. First and foremost, the place was impeccably clean, which made the dining experience much more pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure we felt at home right from the start.
As for the food, it was generally good. The flavors were authentic, and the portions were generous. However, the meat dishes were noticeably salty, which overshadowed the otherwise enjoyable meal. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s something they might want to adjust for better balance.
Aside from that, everything else was perfectly fine. The ambiance was vibrant, and it’s clear that they care about the customer experience. I’d still recommend giving it a try, especially if you’re looking for a clean, friendly spot to enjoy Mexican cuisine.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We love their salsa and chips with bean dip. I had the 3 taco platter with carne asada and rice and beans. My wife had the Mexican pizza. The margaritas were great. Our meals were wonderful, the service was friendly and prompt, the restaurant is always clean. There are 2 other Puerto Vallarta that we drive past to get to this one. They are not as good.
The prices are getting higher just like every restaurant but they are not outrageous like some places.

Free chips, beans and salsa while waiting. Amazing birriadillas, pork belly, shrimp tacos, Vallarta burritos, pina colada, margaritas, and cancun platter! The menudo is not that great – it’s bland. Staff are so genuine and top notch. I feel like it’s pricey for the value. I would still come back and eat more birriadillas! The setting is legit, the unique decor and culture is pretty strong. People dining are so loud including kids. Not ideal for private intimate setting.

Have been frequenting the Twin Lakes Federal Way Puerto Vallarta for a few years with friends, and family. Have never had a complaint until now. Spent 90$ on kids tacos, fish tacos, and a super burrito that was anything but super. When called the next day the manager Edgar was not there yet, but the employee said I would certainly be taken care of… Wrong. Edgar proceeded to say that while They lament the burrito was not filled, and flat like a tractor ran over it, they would only cover half of the cost. So after driving back and forth for about 30miles they cover ten dollars of a bill that should have been taken care of in entirety. They used to care about their clientele, not so much anymore. We won’t be back, and will tell everyone we know to be wary of dining here, and maybe, just maybe it’ll be the most expensive ten dollars they ever had to eat…

This was seriously one of the BEST servers we’ve ever had. No joke! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, helpful, and just made us feel welcome right away. We stopped in to grab a few bites off the happy hour menu and were considering margaritas. When we asked if they were pre-made, she said they were, but instead, she recommended soda water with a shot of tequila and a splash of pineapple juice. It was technically a well drink, but WOW—it tasted like a fresh, homemade margarita with a delicious tajín rim. So good!
We ordered the street tacos which were good, and I also had the shrimp and mushrooms. The shrimp were great, though I think the mushrooms could have been cooked a little longer, but it was yummy. It even came with a scoop of Spanish rice.
We also tried the chile relleno. AMAZING! She explained the two different preparation styles, and we went with the breaded version with the stem on. It was to die for. My husband even ordered chicken wings (at a Mexican restaurant, I know!), but she confidently recommended them and she wasn’t wrong. They were great!
Oh! I can’t forget to share about Pico De Gallo was the best! It was fresh with a lot of cilantro and included avocado!! I would return just for this!!!
I think our waitress’s name was Alisha. I even posted her photo because she made such a lasting impression, haha! What really stood out was her attentiveness. We were seated on the patio, and she made the effort to check in on us several times, not just dropping off food and disappearing. She was warm, knowledgeable, gave fantastic recommendations, and made the whole evening more fun.
A top notch review for a top notch waitress! We’ll definitely be back.
