I lovvvvvve Puerto Rican Bakery 2!!! Honestly, I can’t stay away — I go at least once a week. The food is just that good. The pork shoulder is sooo tender and juicy, the rice and beans have the perfect flavor, and don’t even get me started on the corn rolls… soft, golden, and amazing every single time.
Every bite feels like comfort food made with love. Big portions, friendly people, and always consistent. If you’re craving REAL Puerto Rican food, this is THE spot

I went last weekend with a couple friends, and over all it was a pretty good time. The host was friendly and the servce was a tiny bit slow at first, but the staff made up for it by being super nice. My burger was cooked just how I like it and the fries were crisp (definately my fav part). The place has a relaxed vibe, kind of cozy but not fancy, which I like. Prices felt fair too. I’d prob go back again when I’m in the area, no complaints really.

Had dinner here with a few friends last weekend and it turned out pretty good overall. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe and the staff were friendly without being over the top. My burger was cooked just right and the fries were crispy the way I like them. One of my friends got the pasta and said it was pretty tasty too. Prices were fair for what you get. The only small thing was that it got a bit loud once the place filled up, but other than that, it was a nice spot for casual dining.

Ordered two empanadas (one pollo/chicken, one beef/carne), and two quesitos (plain/regular/only cream cheese, no guava). Delicious. $10.50. Paid with a card.
FWIW, I’m a white Irish-Mexican who is pasty white with freckles and two Littles (1 & 4) and they were very kind to me, with my Spanglish. She didn’t even bat an eye when I called them Pastelillos (the empanadas). She spoke back to me in Spanish mostly, but also some English. It was a great chance to me to practice Spanish (I’m not from the area).
Parking is one way (we saw people trying to back out and leave the wrong way). Tight squeeze for a mini van.
Quick and easy. Affordable. Near the Springfield Museums. Parking was free and off-street. Wish we’d bought only one quesito (it was huge) and 4+ empanadas (as an adult, I could have eaten 2-3; my 4yo could have eaten 2!).

Stopped by this restaurant last weekend with a couple friends, and honestly it was a nice experience overall. The place had a comfy vibe, not too loud, and the staff were friendly without being pushy. Food came out pretty quick too, which was nice since we were starving. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich and it was cooked just right—juicy and flavorful. Prices felt fair for what we got. Only small thing, the lighting was a bit dim for my taste, but that’s just personal. Wouldn’t mind coming back again sometime.

Excellent authentic Puertorriqueño food and baked goods. Excellent counter service–order and pay for meal, then sit.
Average and competitive prices with like restaurants.
Loved everything…hated the cramped and limited , yet, free parking lot. Mom uses wheelchair, but crowded lot made it difficult to use her wheelchair. Business in is in a corner lot of busy intersection. It’s popularity makes parking difficult, but that won’t deter my returning.
Busy, busy atmosphere.
I ordered take out, soulless, alcapurrias, and a “truckload” of bakery items.

Omg the food is so good. One of my friends told me to try their seafood soup omg so delicious. They have a couple of their other food that taste really. The only that sucks they be busy all the time so if your in a rush this is not the place for you and if you don’t mind waiting it would be worth the wait. Omg I had to try the mondongo the first time I got a small the first time and then the second time I had to get a large because the small was a tease.

I’m new to the area & was missing my fav dish from a restaurant I used to frequent often. Tried this place & they didn’t disappoint! My sweet plaintain omelette with ham & cheese was good… So good I went back again. The 2nd time was even better with the extra cheese. The bread is great too! Nicely toasted with butter. I can eat 2 orders of that bread alone & I’m not a bread person!
