Went here for the first time recently and really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. There’s a large selection of beer and cider on tap, and the space itself was quiet and comfortable, great for sampling drinks and having relaxed conversations. Food options are minimal (pretzels and popcorn from what I saw), but that didn’t bother us at all. We weren’t there to eat.

What did put a bit of a sour note on the evening was an interaction involving another guest. A man came in, paid cash for his beer, and asked about food options. Whether he was homeless or had just come from a long day of work isn’t really the point, but it was noticeable that he wasn’t treated the same way as other patrons. That’s what caught my attention.

He drank his beer quickly and went to the bathroom, after which a staff member followed him in. I happened to go in as well, and the man was simply splashing water on his face; possibly freshening up. He left shortly after without causing any issue.

I’ve been in situations where I didn’t look my best, and this isn’t a fancy place that requires a dress code. If someone is paying for their drink and behaving appropriately, they deserve the same respect as anyone else. I hope this was a one-off situation, because otherwise the tap list and atmosphere were genuinely enjoyable.

Great beer selection and friendly service. The bottle shop has a high quality selection. There is self-serve pretzels and popcorn. No kitchen, but can order in from nearby restaurants.

Pretzels and fresh pop corn at your convenience. Excellent selection of beer! My friend and I visited on a Tuesday in December. Busy enough but could still get a bar seat. I tried the blueberry sour and loved it. Will definitely be back.

It’s a cozy spot in the winter and fall and a bit slower during the summer so a good spot to have beers with a few friends and it not be too crowded!

Live the beer, cider, and sour selections but the employees could be friendlier. The decor is cute. I will continue to go there and sample their vast menu.

A friend brought me to this place and I truly enjoyed it. A simple and inviting layout, this Ale House is just that. Lots of drink selections to satisfy anyone, whether it is tried and true, or if you are feeling adventurous. It has several TV’s and even a few games. I will be back!

This taphouse is exceptionally well curated. Set for a broad palate, if you want to know what the latest offerings are, or have a friend who claims they don’t like beer and you suspect they simply haven’t met the right bet, this is your destination. The owner knows beer very well and stocks his offerings with enough choices you are guaranteed to find something you like, and will probably be pleasantly surprised by something.

Nice location with lots of space inside. Long bar with plenty of seating there or at tables. Huge selection of draft beer & cider. Friendly, knowledgeable service. Some harder to find bottles of beer available as well. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and you like beer.
