The service was VERY SLOW. It took 40 minutes from the time we sat to get our food. and you will need to ask for any refills on drinks because they don’t offer.
But the food came out hot and fresh. 2/3 of our party REALLY enjoyed the meal, the other felt food did not have a lot of flavor.
The menu is great with plenty of authentic options to choose from.
Decor and feel of the restaurant is very cozy and satisfying.

Next in the try different area restaurants. We decided to try some Mexican food from a place we had never been before.
The food was good but had a little different taste. My wife had the fajita burrito and she said that it didn’t have the typical fajita flavor that she was expecting. But she also said it wasn’t bad just different.
The chips and salsa wasn’t as good as some of our favorite places but it wasn’t terrible just not what we are accustomed to.
The service was great and the restaurant was very clean as were the bathroom and that’s a plus. The decor was nice and there is lots of seating and
there was a good selection of drinks and beers.

The food here is excellent—fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. The menu offers plenty of variety, and everything I tried was satisfying. The atmosphere is welcoming and makes for a pleasant dining experience.

Service, however, could be improved. The staff lacked attentiveness and weren’t friendly.

Overall, Puerto Escondido is worth visiting for the food, and with stronger service, it could easily become one of the standout restaurants in Idaho Falls.

I’ve lived near this restaurant but never tried it until tonight. I walked into a friendly greeter, clean building and seated fast. Served on time, food came quick and it was delicious! The staff were super friendly, asking frequently if we needed anything and with a smile! Would absolutely recommended this place to anybody, and this will be my go-to Mexican restaurant from now on.

A great Mexican restaurant in Idaho Falls indeed. The environment here is great. A little music in the background, Mexican decor, and the staff is so awesome and friendly. There is a large selection of food available. They did a great job with taking care of my entire family during our visit. The food was phenomenal. The price was online with good quality. A good value. I would love to eat here again.

This is a good spot for typical Mexican food with an American flair. These types of restaurants are all very similar in my opinion. I ordered a combination plate that included an enchilada, burrito, and chili relleno. My wife ordered the steak fajitas. Both of our meals were good. The meals were nothing out of the ordinary and what you would expect. Service was decent for the amount of customers they had. They also supply each table with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was good.

Before I moved away 10 years ago, this was my very favorite place to eat. Evidently it has changed hands since I moved, and while the menu looks the same, the food is not quite the same.

As with almost every restaurant these days, it was a little bit of a wait to get a seat, and I don’t hold that against the business. Service in general, during my visit was slow, but she was very friendly. Which made up for a lot of the slowness.

I noticed that their salsa is not quite as good as it used to be when they brought the chips and dip, and the serving was very small. It wasn’t terrible at all, but it also wasn’t great . I ordered two cheese enchiladas and a shredded beef taco, which is something that I always ordered and again, it was middle of the road, and definitely not the food that I had remembered.

I’m not saying, I wouldn’t eat there again, but it definitely wouldn’t be my first choice the way it used to be. I’m going to go again before I leave and will update the review if it’s a better experience, but if management is reading this, you’ve definitely got to do better.

I find this to be a very relaxing restaurant to dine in. Maybe it’s the decor. Perhaps it’s the seating arrangement (which offers a semi-private booth experience). Or maybe it’s the kind and hospitable service. I am not a local, but will make this my regular go-to for Mexican food (which was delicious) whenever I am passing by.

It’s in Middleton just off the main road. Chips and salsa upon sitting down. Food was great, the stuffed pepper was a lot of cheese and not much else. But otherwise good food.
