Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the playful waiter immediately arranged a table for two for us. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The waiter was very prompt and helpful, even a bit humorous. The food arrived hot and quickly. The ambiance was impressive, and the prices were very reasonable considering the taste and size of the food.

Second time coming here while visiting Vienna. Tried the pork schnitzel before and this time ordered the “Ratsherrpfanne” (pork roasted with white mushrooms a la creme and spätzle, gratinated with cheese). Both dishes were consistently good. Schnitzel was good and Austrian style (no sauce), but they’re able to serve a sauce on the side if you’d like. I have had better but this one is also very good! As for the pork in crème sauce- it was delicious and new to me as I’ve never tried an Austrian dish like this one. Make a reservation if you can as it gets very busy during dinner time!

Gorgeous traditional Austrian style restaurant! We didn’t have a reservation, but they managed to arrange a table for us. The schnitzels were tasty, but the portions are not too big, and not every dish comes with a side dish. Nice place, but not worth the hype

Food, atmosphere and service were good. The place looks amazing!
But someone stole almost 500 euros from my wallet that was in a closed pocket in my coat. The coat was in the hanger, 1m away from our table. With the place nearly empty, and us near the hanger, someone took out the money from the wallet and placed it back. We never left the table/coats unattended, but we were distracted, of course, by phones and discussions.
The staff just let us know that there are no cameras, the police wont help and that there is nothing they can do.

Last minute search, found this. Gem of the inner city. Food portions were big. Food was hot and fresh. Beer is delicious and plentiful. Get the clear and unfiltered lager. Very satisfying meal, cheerful atmosphere without being noisy loud. The interior decoration was excellent and charming. Loved the taxidermy. Staff are warm and friendly helping out with requirements and suggestions if needed. Eat here will not disappoint.

I’m so glad we came here during our Vienna trip to try some local food. The veal schnitzel was delicious! The service was excellent too, but what really made our visit was the decor and the cosy atmosphere. We would definitely come back!

The service and the food were excellent and there is a great atmosphere. The restaurant was very busy, so I’m glad we booked. Unfortunately, due to it being so busy, our 2 hour allocated time slot for our table wasn’t enough to allow us to have dessert, but the starters and main courses that we had were delicious. I would definitely go back.

Pork ribs taste good generally with sauce but the meat is a bit fishy taste. Don’t know if it just like this. The other dish is really good though.

The interior was authentic.
Food was tasty, though the Frittaten Suppe was slightly bland. The snails too, were bland/missing a strong garlic taste.
The “Ratsherrnpfanne” was a bit salty and the potatoes were deliciously buttery.
Their coffee was unfortunately not the best however their chocolate cake was to die for.
