Here for Saturday brunch after CES just over, expected for a long line, but it went pretty fast.
The staff here are nice and efficient. Shalom is very nice and friendly.
Love the smoked salmon toast here with mouthwatering salad (the vinaigrette dressing is great). The patty flavor is good but unfortunately overcooked and a bit dry.
Gotta give the coffee here a thumbs up. Tried latte and mint and cream coffee, both are smooth and scrumptious.
Pretty easy parking even on a Saturday. Will come back soon to their bento which looks soooo good from our next table.
The Coffee & Craft
Publicus takes its beans seriously, offering a sophisticated multi-roaster program.
Signature Sips: The Leche de Madre is a legendary local favorite—a rich, slightly sweet, and creamy latte that is impossible to replicate. Their Cold Brew and Gibraltars are also top-tier for purists.
Visual Appeal: Every drink is served with precision, often in unique glassware that matches the industrial-wood aesthetic.
Elevated Canteen Fare
The kitchen outperforms almost any standard cafe in the city.
Londoner Sandwich: A savory masterpiece featuring soft scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar on a brioche bun.
Avo-Toast & Shakshuka: Publicus puts a premium spin on these classics, using high-quality sourdough and vibrant, fresh spices.
Mahalo Burger: For those seeking a heartier lunch, this burger is a consistent standout.
The Atmosphere
The space is a masterclass in industrial-organic design, featuring communal wooden tables, hanging plants, and plenty of natural light. It is an ideal spot for a creative meeting or a focused study session, though it does get quite busy on weekends.
Quick Tip: Parking can be tight directly in front, so look for street parking on the side streets. Also, keep an eye on their rotating pastry case for seasonal treats!
With live trees growing through the bottom of the cafe tables this atmosphere is innovative and unlike anywhere else for travelers and locals.
FOOD & SERVICE
The staff has called me by my first name since the day I started coming here a couple of years ago. It’s the only café in town that has excellent gluten-free house made bread! All of their latte milks are made in house as well with Whole Foods. I recommend the chai latte, green panda and macadamia latte most. Food favorites is Pazole and Tofu Curry.
MISSION & MOVEMENT
One of my favorite discoveries about this place, was that they house, authentic cultured, live musicians, and entertainment occasionally. On Chinese new year they had a Chinese dragon dance I had the privilege to see; And on another occasion, they had an authentic mariachi band for a short surprise performance. Most days, the house music is not live- generally neosoul pop, but on special holidays, they bring in live entertainment, and it’s such a treat.
STUDY
This is my favorite café for my studies with neo soul background music. Keep up the good work guys. You have stolen my heart for sure.

Very hip and neat coffee shop. The workers were welcoming and explained how everything works. All pastries were freshly baked that morning, and looked amazing.
We both ordered a large latte. Chris choose the tiramisu cinnamon bun, and I had the egg sandwich. (Both were huge)
Clientele ranged from tourists, locals, Buddhist Monks, and construction workers on break.

Thank you, PublicUs, for being truly vegan-friendly — there are so many vegan options, and everything is always fresh and delicious. I especially appreciate the huge selection of plant milks, which they actually make in-house — you can taste the quality. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the whole place feels stylish and cozy.Highly recommend to anyone who values great coffee and thoughtful plant-based choices.
