I believe this restaurant has excellent quality for the price . The environment is super cozy. All the materials used in the food where 5 stars quality and fresh. We got the pizza with black truffle which I certainly recommend. I loved the chicken with an extra posh dosage of saffron . The lemon meringue pie was awesome which is one of the most difficult things to find in NY. I wasn’t flabbergasted with the cocktails but there is an excellent choice of wines which I will do next time. Oh, I should not forget: Tuna tartare was awesome and with a very cloudy and fluffy rice cake that might have emerged from paradise….

Having a gals night out and tried this New American eatery by Jean-Georges Vongerichten serving wood-fired dishes in the Public Hotel. The cocktails & wine menu had many interesting selections to choose from. My gal ordered a Strawberry Lavender Fizz and I got a White Heat with jalapeño, they did not charge you a fortune for the cocktails and tasted great. We had 3 starters to begin with and the cauliflower was amazingly good and you should try! For entree, we ordered a black truffle pizza to share, with seared scallops, short ribs and pasta (the green plate). Short ribs braised very well, juicy and tender, scallops are fine too. Pasta was just so-so, it said it’s angel hair but they did not looked like angel hair to us and the taste did not feel like pasta either. The portion was not small and fair size with the price they charged. Coconut sorbet was good and so did passion fruit, it refreshed the taste bud afterwards.

Really good food – I really enjoyed the pizza and the scallops, and the pesto pasta and dumplings were great too! Very fun vibe, kinda clubby and loud, so perfect for a pregame dinner before going out in the LES.

Start with drinks at the bar and sit in the lounge while you wait for your table. The food seems more Asian-influenced than expected. Friendly service. After, if it’s the summer, head to the rooftop for drinks and a view.

Ordered the Roasted Organic Chicken with fingerling potatoes, salsa verse and summer squash sweet. It was worth the wait considering how crunchy yet tender the chicken was. The pieces were well portioned and the flavor of the salsa verse exquisite. Almost giving off a pesto like taste.

Dessert was offered in compensation for the wait. So service was definitely a high regard for them

I’ve always thought JG restaurants in the city are a bit overrated. JG Columbus Circle, ABC Kitchen, Cocina etc. My favorite JG restaurant in the city is Perry Street. But this was the first time I totally enjoyed the entire food I ordered. Highly recommend this place.

The food wasn’t terrible and the staff were nice. The chicken was dry, the lemon overwhelmed the sashimi but risotto was nice. The followed up on our reservation asking if we were coming occasion, I noted that we were but they didn’t do mention in when we came in. Also, we made a reservation for 3 but they gave us a large round table for 6 and that meant we had to shout at each other in the loud restaurant.

Pretty good brunch, but the price is truly for the atmosphere! Gorgeous patio outdoor seating area.

Food was great. But service was slow, very slow. Our server disappeared and we had to tell others about our needs. We were a group of 8 and during the night the forgot about our pizza, which we never got, because they “turned off the oven” (after an hour waiting we found out about this) and forgot two other dishes. I never got a plate that I asked for to share. Wine came after our entrees. They did apologize and didn’t charge us for a few things, but overall there was no excuse for this service. I feel bad for the team in the kitchen who did a great job, but I’ve never had such bad service. I was honestly waiting for a hidden camera some where. That’s how bad it was, I expected Gordon Ramsay to come out and say “it’s part of my new show”. photo
shows the lobster, it was delicious.
