Very good food and lots of choices. From fish and chips, giant pretzels, lobster rolls, chicken schnitzel, steak, sandwiches, two pastrami sandwiches. Prices are about $20 a plate. Service was great. Very clean, modern bar feel. I will be going back.

Good Selection of Pub Food. I have never tried their higher end part of the menu. A great selection of beers on tap – changing weekly. Also decent wines by the glass. They have big warehouse roll-up windows that they like to keep open so I always bring a jacket. It can be quiet or loud, they have big screen TV’s and we have stayed for football games. The servers are excellent and if you want a cocktail they have an excellent bartender. A great addition to the neighborhood!

Update review – We haven’t come back here for maybe almost a year and recently we found they updated their menu! I had fish & chips and my husband had a Serrano burger, both are very delicious! The fish is crunch outside and fresh & soft inside. Serrano burger has a good kick. We always enjoyed the vibe and service here. Nice place to hangout!
Previous review – My husband and I love having drinks before dinner and we found this bar in our neighborhood. We loved it! I love Rum-Mixed cocktails and my husband is a whiskey lover. We loved their special and unique cocktails. All the cocktails are very tasty and special, as well as really strong. There’s no Mai Tai on the menu and the bartender made a great one for me. We will definitely come back for more drinks. Maybe try their Happy Hour sometimes since the Happy Hour price looks a great deal.

English Toffee Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream is
I ordered fish and chips. Their fried fish was ok but their fries were perfectly seasoned and with right amount of crunchiness. I also really liked sweet potato fries.
The place was busy but our waiter was attentive. He recommended the dessert and it was worth the calories.
They also have a long list of beer on tap and offer happy hour. Don’t forget to check in for a treat!

Dog friendly patio with heaters. Weekend brunch was delicious. We had the Benedict and breakfast hamburger. Bother were fantastic. Bottomless mimosa is the way to go. We also enjoyed the Bloody Mary, I think the rest of San Diego could take a lesson on how to offer an 18$ Mary. (See Pics)

I have visited Public House 131 more than a handful of times and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots! The cozy, welcoming atmosphere is perfect for a night out with family or friends. One of the highlights of my visit was their Mahi Mahi Tacos—absolutely mouthwatering! The fish was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were fresh and vibrant.
And let’s not forget about their whiskey cocktails. I tried a couple of their concoctions, and each one was a delightful mix of smooth whiskey and creative flavors. The bartenders really know their stuff!
Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or just want to relax with a great drink, Public House 131 is the place to be. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu. Highly recommended!

First time visiting. Went on a Monday afternoon. It was not busy and we were immediately seated. The atmosphere was good because it was quiet with just a few customers present. I had their bbq boneless wings and fish tacos. The tacos were completely bland and tasteless & for $18 it was a big fail & the wings were just ok. I rate this restaurant 3 stars for good ambiance, good customer service and good drinks. I ordered the Bloody Mary and guava margarita which were both good. I won’t return but I’ll recommend for their drinks.
