Barn turned bar/restaurant with barcand table seating.
Big menu, lots of seriously hard to decide what to eat food options.
We all settled on some burgers. My sister from another mister got a simple build your own with lettuce and cheese, Mr. Shady got the Brisket Burger with Mac n Cheese and I got The 72 with Sweet tater fries.
We started with Potato Kegs (fried potato, cheese and chive logs. Kind of like tater tots on roids) and they were yum.
My buddies burgers were fantastic. Juicy, huge, flavorful. Mine was great too but…. my burger was wrong. Twice. First they sent the hangover burger. When I told my server, he brought me out a fixed burger but there was no pork belly. My friends were almost done so I just tucked in and ate.
They were super short staffed so I dinged a star.
Here’s the Breakdown:
Great food, challenged service because of staffing, cool interior, nice people +4 stars
Next time I’m in Illinois I’ll go back. If service is improved it’s I’d bump this to 5.

Oh my gosh… I wasn’t expecting a great dinner. First of all, great service (Thank you, Mr. Arnold). Plus, great food at an affordable price! Love it!

Don’t waste your time or money here. We never saw our server again after our order was taken. They forgot to bring the soup until we flagged someone down to get it. We were never checked on again after our food was delivered and our beverages sat empty without any opportunity for refills. Staff pretty much forgot about us and were very chatty with other (bigger) parties.
Food was dry or not cooked well. We had the ribs, tenderloin sandwich & prime rib.

If you need catering for the holidays look no further! We used Pub 72 for our Thanksgiving party yesterday. The food was absolutely amazing! The turkey was so succulent sliced off the bone! Multiple sides that were full of flavor too with generous portions. Our group decided that Pub 72 will be our go-to for catering for future events. Contact Mike, he will take care of all your needs!

Daytime bartender Megan T. is incredibly rude. Slammed my drink down in front of me and not a smile or a kind gesture. I had questions that she seemed annoyed with and couldn’t be bothered by me. Unfortunate honestly, normally have a great experience here. I was supposed to meet a larger group here and we decided to go elsewhere.

Today, we ordered the Bevairan Pretzel off the fall menu. It was supposed to come with Dijon Beer cheese…which sounds delicious. However, we got a spicy nachos cheese that was all crusted over. I asked the waitress and she said it’s “just regular Dijon mustard” and brought out a dish of mustard. I would also not recommend the jalapeño poppers. They were barley filled and had greasy cheese on top. Food was not worth the money today. We were overall Disappointed and wont be back.

Been here a couple times now, although we usually have a good time, the last visit was just horrible. The service was awful, our waiter was horribly slow, forgot parts of the order, and although she was “wearing a mask” it was not covering her nose OR mouth. Granted there were only two waiters on the floor, it was still very frustrating. As for the food we ordered the cheese curds, fire braised tacos, and Thursday special being fried chicken. The cheese curds are always amazing, the tacos had absolutely no flavor, but the fried chicken wasn’t bad.

Prices were reasonable. Two of us had steak and one had burger. They all were slightly over cooked. Was very busy so that might have been why. Food tasted good though. Was a little loud with music for our liking. Especially during dinner.

Food was OK, service was terrible and we were largely ignored by two female bartender that did now like each other. Each of them has their own groups of regulars that they took care of. I guess we went on a no nub’s day.
