Pub 212 is not a fine dining restaurant or a fast food place. We take pride in preparing most everything from scratch in our small kitchen. Our burgers are never frozen, we hand-batter our fish and chicken, make our own dressings, and we slow roast meats to slice for our meals. Because our kitchen is small, it might take a bit longer to get your food when we’re busy.We also don’t have a large staff like the big chain restaurants. Our cooks work hard, often alone, to make sure your meal is just right. Don’t pass this place by!! Pub 212 is open for breakfast 7 days a week. Stop in for breakfast or grab it to go before heading to work or home. I had the steak and eggs and it was great. They have a thicker cut steak, unlike other places that serve the thin cut full of gristle. Say hello to Lyndsay and let her know you seen my review. The front may look dark, but they are open. I would recommend a flashing sign or something to draw people’s attention. Pub 212 has a full bar, $12 bottomless mimosas on Saturday, and $3 bloody mary’s on Sunday for all those looking for breakfast drinks or brunch on the weekend. Mom had the Denver omlette and recommends it. They give you plenty of food for a good price. This is a family owned pub that has been part of the Damascus community for years. Many of the locals stop in on the way to or back from Mt. Hood, work, or fishing. They also have video machines for those who like to try their luck gambling. They have a few flat screens available to watch sports or catch up on events. There is plenty of seating and easily accessable.

Had such a disappointing experience here, was coming down from the mountain and had a pizza order in at the place next door to this pub. i like to support local when i can and have been wanting to stop in here for a quick drink. i walked up to the bar and was just unsure if thats where i ordered or not, considering i havent been here before so i just wanted to make sure i could order at the spot where i was standing, i just asked the bartender/waiter who was a young women with brown hair if thats where i could order. immediately she says youll have to wait i cant take your order now, i was completely fine waiting i was just asking a question. her manner and tone made me feel like i was a burden and not a customer, i still waited and ordered the drink was hoping i just caught her in a bad moment, however her demeaner continued to seem like i was very unwanted in her establishment. i cant seem to understand what may have caused her to treat me the way she did, she seem to be in a good mood with others. i would sure hope its not the fact that im part of the Hispanic community. however the drink was good the price was also decent. i sure hope no one else has the experience i did here. I hope this is a coaching opportunity and the business continues towards success. cheers!

UPDATE :
after many years, my wife and I went in for breakfast this time I had a nice talk with staff. Breakfast was great the price was fair.
The resturant owners and family were going though some rough times. Yes I am going from a 1 star to a 5 star. Thank you for reading.

Better food and service at Shari’s,

First time eating there, was drawn in by the Prime-rib special. When we arrived at 6:40 pm, there were about 4 tables being used the rest still had dishes on them. We were not sure weather we should wait to be seated to just sit down so we waited until we saw another family (Large size group) come in behind us and just sit down. When I asked I was told, they needed to clean the tables, so we sat and waited. Then the younger server, who also told us to just sit down, went past us and waited on the other table. We waited 20 minutes before the older more polite server realized we had been waiting so long (at this point, I was timing it, because I was honesty about ready to get up and walk out with my wife).

When the older waitress finally came back, we told her we were disappointed with getting skipped, we told her that we already knew what we wanted to order, the Prime-rib special. She politely told us it was sold out and then asked what we would like to drink. At this point, I still should have gotten up and walked out, but I thought there was a chance the food might be really good and this lady was nice. We got water, which took another 15 minutes. When she finally returned my wife and I went and order the, “Gary’s choice” which was supposed to be Rib-eye 12oz for $19.95 and and they were out of bake potatoes (No biggie on the potatoes) we then waited another 40 minute for our food and when it arrived, my wife had asked for Au jus sauce and horse radish, but never got it. never had or water refilled either. The steak were absolutely ridiculous, If they were even really Rib-eye. It was tough, hard to chew and loaded with fat, and not marbleizing fat like Rib-eye has. These steaks were more like the type I would get with my eggs in the morning. Never again will I eat her. And for the younger waitress she was just rude from beginning to end. For the record, I did leave a $5.00 tip which was more then I should have left.

Been coming here for 15 years. They’re reliable. Chill atmosphere. What you would expect a nice bar in a small town to hang eat drink and play lotto.

Little crammed together on the bar side but the overall vibe of the place is great and the food isn’t bad either.
