If you’ve never had Haitian food, this place in South Florida is a great introduction. The spice level is perfect—flavorful with a nice kick, but still balanced so you can really taste the ingredients and what the cuisine has to offer. The location is great, and they also have a wide selection of Caribbean juices.

Today I had the stewed oxtail with plantains and rice. The meat was tender, rich, and well seasoned. They also serve pikliz, a spicy Haitian condiment with carrots and other vegetables. It’s kind of like a traditional pepper sauce, but more comforting for the soul, adding a bright flavor and heat that really brings the whole plate together.

Coming from a Trinidadian background while also being American-born, I can appreciate good Caribbean cooking when I taste it. This spot definitely delivers.

Flavor? 10/10 Authentic cuisine? 10/10 Customer Service? under construction lol.. The wait is always the concern because it is a small location, but it packs a huge punch! In all honesty it’s worth it! The wait can take you by surprise if you’ve never been there but for repeat customers, we call ahead and add 10mins lol. The food tastes great and the portions are nothing to laugh at. Not to mention you get an opportunity to hear how Haitian Creole can sound different depending on what side of the island you’re from. Imagine sitting in a to-go restaurant and you hear someone say “I don’t care what food is on the plate, just let me have it “ . Yeah, it’s like that.. Go and enjoy a taste of Haiti

As a Haitian, I know exactly what fresh cornmeal (malmou Le ak pwa no meat $13) should taste and look like, and this wasn’t it. They served me a ‘brick’ of old, stale food that was clearly not made today. It’s a shame because I wanted a healthy, fulfilling breakfast meal, but I ended up throwing it in the trash. Total waste of money.” I hate putting my trust into a Haitian restaurant that aim for the money only and not to serve fresh refreshing food for customers.

Amazing authentic Haitian cuisine that is a take out gem in West Palm Beach, Fl. Visiting Prosperity Island is like going home to family and eating well! Ordered Griot (fried pork), banan Pese (fried plantains), and rice and beans kole. Also ordered Goat Tasso with pikliz. Very satisfied as all meals were well seasoned and beyond delicious. The 30-minute wait was well worth every morsel. I am very happy and satisfied. The Haitian mommies who took the orders were welcoming. Prices are reasonable and portions large enough for 2 to share. The only minus is the lack of island decor of the restaurant. Can’t wait to visit WPB again as my first stop will be prosperity Island!

A friend recommended prosperity. It’s seems to be a local favorite for haitian people in the area.

We ordered 45 min ahead of time knowing there can be a wait. We were in and out in a few minutes and also grabbed some confiture chadek! Sooo good. Taste like home!!

They had other goodies like tablet, kremas and other haitian specialty goods

We ordered the griot and tasso kabrit with plaintains. Delicious. Flavorful!

Quaint takeout counter service with haitian staples like legume, lalo, pwason fri and breakfast lunch and dinner options.
Delicious haitian food!!

Beware!
Check your order when you pick up. We ordered oxtail, drove 18 miles to pick it up. When we got home, we opened the order and found chicken bones instead of oxtail.
