I went to Proper Pizza in Chicago with some friends, and we were all blown away. The first thing that stood out? The pizza slices are comic book sized! One slice is basically a whole meal, my entire group said it was delicious too!
The atmosphere is really inviting too. There’s a front area that feels like a cozy family room, which made it perfect for hanging out and relaxing while we ate.
Everyone in our group raved about the food.

No wait on a busy weekend which was our deciding factor in choosing to give our business to this small business.
Pepperoni pizza was the best!
Per slice was about $8.00 which is reasonable.
Service was great and everyone was pleasant.
Clean restrooms and plenty of seating space.
I would definitely recommend this place for some great Chicago style pizza!

Welcoming place. I was walking past and stopped in. I only had a slice but the manager welcomed me like I was a long time customer. Proper is an international chain from Europe. Their pizza is a bit different with a sesame seeded crust. Nice change. It was mostly empty when I visited but with a regular stream of takeouts. Check it out.

Pizza was delicious, loved the sesame seed crust. Got the vegan veggie, which was $24 ($30 after tax & tip) but it was not enough to feed two people. The photo showed the pizza loaded with veggies but there was maybe half as much on the actual pizza. The identical pizza with dairy cheese was $19. Shouldn’t be $5 more just for vegan cheese. Overall enjoyed the meal, but for the price I expected a lot more food :/

Amazing! The sauce is smooth and dynamic, the toppings are fresh, and the dough is light yet filling! Amazing experience with the manager (Miguel?). Explained it was my first time and he guided me through options, allowed me to sample the sauce for the next time, and made sure the experience went well. Even the 12″ pizza was more than enough . I went home with 2 extra slices and found out they have large slices available with a drink for $7bucks. Make sure to try this place for sure!!

The Owner is a really kind and chill man. Has a nice lowkey vibe to it which I was surprised there weren’t more people there. Could feed 2 on $16. If you’re looking for something cheap with nice vibes walk a little more to come to this place.

After peeking into multiple food spots in the area and not being pleased with any of them, I came across this pizzeria. The space is up to date, clean, and the decor is warm and inviting. The owner is super nice, personable, and will remember your name (if you come as often as I have now..LOL.)
Now…the pizza…delicious! Whole pizzas are made to order, call ahead if you are in a time crunch (they do usually have single slices already made to go.) They also have more than just pizza… garlic bread, salads, desserts, and beverages, are also on the menu.
The pizza flavors are unique and the owner can tell you all about the quality of the ingredients…especially the cheese. The sesame seeded crust adds an extra surprise element to the flavors, and you have to ask for their yummy, house made “macho sauce” for dipping! And don’t forget your fresh basil leaves!
