Yesterday at 4:24 pm I placed an order. I’ve gotten Pizza from here several times and enjoy it . I did realize it’s a Super Bowl. It took forever to get my point across to the girl I was speaking with on the phone with what I wanted on the pizza and the coupon…And I asked for a total, I was on hold for 6 minute with no reply…I finally hung up and proceeded to call back and talk to another person about getting a total on my order . Finally got it!!! I realize it was 2 hours before the Super Bowl. If you’re that busy, don’t take the order. So I gave them a good hour or more before I drove down to get them. I arrive at the shop and the 2 girls behind theRegister, don’t have my ticket and half,Remember my ordre??There’s ten pizzas sitting on the oven.I ordervLarge & Medium and my pizzas are nowhere to be found. There’s five people sitting in the restaurant half and no one else in the shop. The older gentleman was fairly decent about it, but the younger cook gave me attitude and went on to explained to me. You know, it’s busy because of the Super Bowl. Well, I see everybody else’s pizzas back there except for mine!!! Which I ordered over an hour ago I had to explain what the pizzas were again. Which really annoyed me with the amount of time I spent on the phone with both girls…No apology, no, I’m sorry, no, let me cut you a deal. Nothing just wait and they’ll be ready in ten minutes or so…Customer service is everything in this day. And age, I owned a company. I know exactly how to treat a customer and that’s not how I got treated yesterday. So the more I thought about it, the more I decided to just walk out, keep the pizza.No apologies, no, nothing totally amazing.Not sure if I’ll ever go back again….

I had a Margherita pizza with some Italian sausage added to it and it was killer. It got ate before I could even snap a photo of it.
Their pizza is New York style hand tossed pizza, although they seem to have stuffed pizza and Sicilian crust also. The sauce was a little sweet and very tasty. The dough was about perfect, it held the pizza together well, it was crunchy/bricked and it was so good you could eat the crust by itself. I always complain about the pizza crust and sauce at any Ocala pizza joint being very plain and tasteless. The toppings are high quality and the cheese really stood out.

I have came to this restaurant a few times before, but today was the best service. I accidentally came 20 minutes before closing, and they didn’t turn me down. Instead, they made me some delicious chicken Alfredo pizza and extra garlic knots. They wonder works also gave us the extra stuff like a cow zone. The cooks and everyone else did such a wonderful job and was so kind and id definitely recommend coming back.

I have been coming to this establishment for 15 years and never have I ever had the problems I’ve encountered the last 3 times I’ve ordered from here. I specifically ordered an Xtra Large pie with 2 slices of the pie with mushrooms and onions on it and I got peppers and onions on it the last 2 times and tonight was olives and mushrooms! How difficult is it to follow an order? Unfortunately I will no longer be ordering anything from Pronto Pizza again, even though it’s the best pizza in Ocala.

First time my order has been wrong, however the lack of professionalism and ownership of the mistake was even more wrong. Very disappointed. Sal you have no business being the front of the house or dealing with customers at all, you don’t even smile when people walk in to your business and spend their money on your food that earns you a living. I typically come in about once ever 2 weeks and personally can’t ever recall seeing you smile ever. This used to feel like a family owned establishment, I’ve gone here since I was a little girl and they were at their old location. My mom has done business with Sal on numerous occasions, she may even refer to you as a friend, but Sal you should feel embarrassed and ashamed of how you treated me and spoke to me regarding the order YOU made incorrectly despite the notes left on the order. You did not own up to the mistake whatsoever, you kept circling around it. Btw people, you only get marinara sauce “sometimes, not always” when you order garlic knots, also the sauce is free and a “courtesy” if you come in person to order or pickup your order in person however you don’t get any if your order is being delivered lol…. The most important thing about a restaurant is consistency, and clearly that’s lacking along with your justification. I ordered a half and half pizza and the whole pie ended up being pepperoni and Sal told me “I got more than what I paid for”, when I really got less than what I paid for because I don’t eat pepperoni…. He continued to speak over me on the phone and act like the order wasn’t his mistake and it was the uber drivers fault (the uber driver doesn’t make the food)!!! I told him he was being rude and that he has been rude to me on prior occasions when I’ve come in to eat and then he got all upset and defensive and said I’m degrading him and that he’s so kind to his customers… based on all these 1 star reviews that doesn’t seem to be the case. I was not trying to be nasty to you I was just telling the truth, I used to think you were just grumpy but now it feels more like you view your customers as an inconvenience. You don’t have to be warm and fuzzy to be kind. The other cook that’s always up front is so kind and happy every time, if it weren’t for him being there most days I wouldn’t even feel comfortable walking in to order. All my coworkers that I send over from the hospital will come to an end also and I’ll be sure they all know how customers are treated when doing business there. Very unfortunate and could have easily been avoided. Next time swallow your pride, own up to the mistake, validate your customer and do what you can to help fix it and it will be like it never happened. Your in the food AND people industry, and tonight you got both wrong.

“usual” dry, inedible version of the pizza was inside the box. After notifying the restaurant I was given $2 back and told to eat it as-is. No offer to make a new pizza, no offer to refund a more substantial portion of the cost. I won’t be eating from here again, and I will actively encourage others to do the same. I should have listened to all the other reviewers who said management is bad, because IT IS! Shop elsewhere.
