This is one of the best Italian sandwiches I ever had. My dream is to go to All’ antico in Florence. I love the small Pachino. Add mortadella switch mozzarella for burrata and no arugula but I add red roasted peppers and onions. It comes with truffle pecorino cream, and the flavors are magical. The bread is done perfectly. The service is wonderful and yesterday I tried their homemade cream of chicken soup, which was absolutely delicious. They may seem a little pricey, but a half of a small is good for a meal. I go to the location in Des Plaines and it’s hard to find it’s off of Oakton near Oak Farms market on Oakton Place in a small strip mall to the left of the grocery store order ahead is my pro tip. This is right up there with Chicago’s best Italian subs and sandwiches.

This place is INSANE! I got the Scorsese and it’s probably the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had! Amanda was super friendly, kind and patient while I contemplated all of their delicious options! 10/10 recommend!

Very impressed with this place. Got a Tarantino with no avocado and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Honestly everything on the sandwich was perfect but the bread was next level. Great addition to Des Plaines, highly recommend.

I could have gotten a better sandwich from a truck stop or a 7-11. I won’t use profanity. but I sure want to!

We always like to give a new place a try, so we stopped in to get sandwiches, a small Stallone and a regular Pacino. While the Pacino was just okay, the Stallone sucked so bad! The sandwich was so skimpy on meat and cheese!! For $17, you get a piece of dry tasteless bread, a slice of cheese, a slice of meat, and a teeny tiny smear of olive spread and a few small spinach leaves. $17 for a sub with hardly any meat or cheese or olive spread!

I didn’t order a large, but that’s what I got. I thought my sandwich was a small like I ordered until I checked the receipt and saw I paid for a large. So I went back in and asked. I was told it was because they couldn’t split the bread. Ok, if that’s the policy, then tell the customer!!!

The place is clean, very large, parking is available, and the staff was pleasant. But nothing makes up for the incredible disappointment of being sold an expensive piece of bread with one slice of cheese and one slice of ham and an extra, extra, extra thin layer of olive spread.

Look at the accompanying pictures. That’s half of the sandwich and it’s close to $10 for that measly dry morsel.

Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. This place isn’t going to thrive unless they lower their prices and actually put some ingredients on their dry bread. There’s plenty of much better places.

Delicious sandwiches! I ordered the Loren (eggplant) and opted for the grande, which is my only regret. The sandwich was HUGE and there was no way I could finish the whole thing. But it was delicious!!

The restaurant is really cute, but it looks like they may still be working on finishing the front counter. But the decor is warm and inviting.

Only issue I had was that we were dining in, but they brought the food to the table in a plastic bag. Just a tiny pet peeve, but seemed wasteful. But that was my only critique.

Do NOT order the Brando for any reason. Already the sandwich is a set price of $17 with no option of a regular, seems scammy considering other options have regular pricing, being overpriced for a sandwich. If you have been to a good sandwich shop aka Nottolis or Avantis then you’re gonna understand my disappointment upon ordering this. The sandwich length is good, it’s a large sandwich but what upsets me is the lack of filling. There’s little to no meat, couple slices of this and that but honestly I think subway stuffs their sandwich more than this. It’s pretty much 70% bread and 30% filling – for $17!!! Let that sink in. The reason this review isn’t rated lower is because I got the regular Scorsese per my boyfriend and THANK GOD I DID because it was the best surprise. Hot honey, burrata and mortadella mesh so well and had I gone back to order again, I’d have just gotten 2 of those instead. Please take this criticism with warm regards Pronto and improve because I really wanted to love you with all my heart. After traveling 40 min in this god forsaken heat I was just looking forward to some good sandwiches.
