This is actually a very fun place to go. We ended up coming here after many recommendations from co- workers. The cover was $15 per person because I made our reservation on Friday. We had the shrimp appetizer, trout appetizer. Both were very good, but the portions were kinda small. My fiancé ordered the chicken sandwich, and i ordered the burger. Both were delicious! We also ordered the bennets, and they were okay compared to what we would get in New Orleans. Very fun place, and we loved the show. It was very pricey, though! $118 without tip.

I stopped in after a ski day, looking for good food, good drinks, and a fun vibe — and this place delivered.
The entrance alone sets the tone, and once inside I was seated at the bar and ordered through their QR code.
The food was fantastic, but the real standout was the bar program. Jamison, the bartender, is on another level — creative, attentive, and clearly passionate about what she does.
Go experience it for yourself.
And as a bonus, they had live jazz playing — subtle, smooth, and never overpowering.

This is a very enjoyable place for me, i loved the classic/classy atmosphere, i just happened to come here when they were playing jazz live and i love a good combo of jazz and food. I started with a jalapeno business and the brussels. Both were amazing, i loved the combo of spicy with citrus in the jalapeno business drink and the brussels were cooked very well. A wonderful crunch and a delicious combo of flavors in the bacon/black truffle honey and garlic. For my main dish i got the tommy gun tacos that are a delicious soft shell taco that has an inner hard shell taco. It’s loaded with wagyu, avacado, cheese and sauces. It was especially good with either the green chili sauce on the side or the Chipotle cholula they can bring out. My wife got the chick sandwich that is on delicious bread and cooked perfectly so you don’t end up biting into anything disgusting like some eateries. Our waiter was attentive and polite. I highly recommend this place on a date night as it was very enjoyable. Unfortunately its quite loud inside so the outdoor seating would be far better if you want to talk to your date more than not.

Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is electric, the staff operates at a next-level standard of hospitality, and the burlesque dancers are nothing short of show-stopping. The food is stellar—thoughtfully crafted and executed—and the drinks are unreal (borderline dangerous in the best way).
Prohibition Utah delivers across the board and then some. It’s the kind of place that earns repeat visits without trying—we keep coming back, and it never misses. Five stars!

What an incredible vibe! The drinks were nicely boozy, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was such a blast. We visited on a burlesque night and absolutely loved the experience.
Food-wise, the “vegan tacos” were surprisingly filling and really well prepared. The “cheesecake” was rich, indulgent, and delicious.
For drinks, I highly recommend the Saloon Macaroon—hands down one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. If you prefer something more sour or palate-cleansing, the Blushing Hibiscus and Lavender 75 were both excellent choices. The Crushed Velvet, however, was a bit too sweet for our taste.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun, lively night out!

I have been coming to Prohibition since it first opened and was surprised to realize that I actually have not reviewed them yet! I have visited for their nighttime burlesque shows and for dinner, and while the experience is still great, I would return again and again for their brunch! It has remained one of my favorite brunch spots for a couple years now, so when I visited recently and realized that they had changed their brunch menu, my interest was piqued! In fact, I was almost nervous because I am a creature of habit when it comes to menu favorites and their Huevos Rancheros (which I LOVEDDDD) was removed from the menu. I anxiously ordered something new off the menu and to my excitement, it turned out to be one of the absolute BEST brunch items I have ever had the chance to eat.
I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and my husband ordered the Crab Benedict. Shrimp & Grits is all-around one of my favorite dishes, so was incredibly excited to try this new menu item. I am not exaggerating by saying this Shrimp & Grits is now my #1 favorite Shrimp & Grits I have had the pleasure of enjoying. The shrimp were seared well, and the flavor of the grits was unlike any other grits I’ve had before. The pineapple chutney was so unexpected and I was unsure if it made sense to me for the dish to have it at first – I was very wrong! It created a perfect balance with the savory flavors from the grits and shrimp. My husband loved the lump crab cake on his benedict and said the flavor on the hollandaise was delicious, mentioning that the cilantro was a nice touch! The benedict also came with the Kale & Quinoa hashbrowns which he was apprehensive about at first, but ended up enjoying thoroughly. I tried a bit of it and it had a nice crunch to it.
Additionally, I was still pregnant at the time, so I did not indulge in a cocktail, but they satisfied my request for a combination of passionfruit and orange juice – it was perfectly refreshing! My husband enjoyed his meal with a Bloody Mary on the side, and he absolutely loves it when his Bloody Mary is practically a meal on its own given that it has so many toppings. We ended the meal with an order of Benny’s Beignets which is accompanied by a blueberry lavender jam. I will say that I have had many beignets before and texturally, these were a little crunchy/tough for my liking. With that being said, the blueberry lavender jam was exceptionally delicious and unique!
Great job making such successful changes to the menu! This could have easily been a moment of disappointment for a highly favored menu, but instead, the new menu really hit it out of the park. I cannot wait to come back and enjoy my new favorite dish!

Such a fun dinner experience they have many performers that rotate so you are likely in for a new experience each time to go. Make sure you take some dollar bills to tip the performers, it’s way more fun throwing dollars than a Venmo transfer.

Prohibition is a true diamond in the rough in Salt Lake City. We didn’t think much when we entered the shoddy old bookstore, but a gorgeous 1920’s theme bar was soon revealed after our IDs were verified, and we experienced and air of camaraderie and opulence. With upscale decor and beautifully served cocktails, our night was off to a great start. Thanks to the helpful taste recommendations from our waitress, we each enjoyed delicious (and heartily portioned) dishes that truly lived up to their descriptions. A memorable experience if you wish to splurge on a night out on SLC!

This place was a gem! Last time I was in Salt Lake, there was no availability. This time we called ahead to book a table. Great vibes. Excellent service. Top notch drinks. Amazing good. Highly recommend the Tommy Gun Tacos, made with Wagyu NY strip, fresh flavors and the perfect bite of pickled red onions. My friend’s burger was cooked to perfection. The Bee’s knees was perfect balance of sweet and tart. Highly recommend this place!
