I visited Priyaa for the first time in many years—mainly because their dining room had been closed for a long time—and had a good overall experience. I ordered the eggplant thali, which was very good, with nicely balanced flavors and a satisfying variety of items. The naan was soft and fresh, and the gulab jamun was a sweet finish to the meal.

First of all no one answers the phone. We Search Google and stated it was open so we were in the area as a Convenient location to our hotel. We arrived at the restaurant the front was closed so a gentleman calls us and stated take out only.He stated that we have to order in the side of the restaurant and my husband did. Then to pick up we had to drive up and beep our horn. When we got to our hotel Disgusting greasy and just no Indian spice as can be! The food was dumped into the trash. The Gobi Manchurian was not even with the correct spices no chili powder what makes the dish, white rice was bland and the naan was rock hard. Stay yourself the disappointment and don’t eat at this joint.

This place is a little off the beaten trail, and it’s tiny. But I have to tip my hat, they prepare a mean dish. It was as good as many other more prominent Indian restaurants. I visited it alone and grazed my way through the buffet, and everything tasted as if your Indian auntie made it. In a second visit I had the curry, and it was very flavorful.

Finding breakfast without sugar in US is extremely hard. So we had a light breakfast at Starbucks and then proceeded to see the Cathedral Basilica of St Louis. We got hungry fast so we decided to hit Priyaa Restaurant which was a little further away then we wanted. So, when we arrived I wasn’t expecting much as the location didn’t look very good. The ambiance was not pleasing, but the food was palate pleasing. They had 5 different appetizers – idli, upma, vada, mirchi bhaji and puri chole. They had so many options that I was fill from just the appetizers. The upma tasted as if it was made at home, the idli was so soft my son gobbled it down asking for more (which he never does), the mirchi bajji was just the right amount of spicy, and the vadas weren’t oily at all and were perfect. The brinjal fry was perfect and tasted yum! The sambar was so tasty I just had an entire bowl by itself. The rasam was good too, but the sambar tasted better. The Chutneys were on point and tasted absolutely delectable. I can’t emphasize enough on how good the food was.
If you are ever in St. Louis make sure to go to this restaurant as their food absolutely tastes like the one you would eat in a restaurant in Hyderabad.

Love the lunch combos and the chicken 65. Delicious Chili chicken when I want extra heat. Biryani when I want less spicy .

Food was delicious, especially DOSA. They will make you food the way you want. Their staff was nice and courteous.
CONS:- This place need major deep clean. Especially in men’s restroom. I have seen roaches in restroom.
Conclusion: Food is good but cleaness wise it is very bad.

We came in at 6pm the evening before snowmagedon and were 1 of 2 tables. We were greeted quickly and had our pick of tables. Menus and water brought immediately though it was a long wait for server to return to take orders. Food came out quickly and was delicious! Chicken cooked perfectly and everything was hot. Too much to eat but they provided boxes and bowls to carry things home. Definitely will be back!

First timer here and placed a to go order of the Chicken Tika Masala. The employee was a bit unprofessional as he was on a personal call the entire time I was there. When I finally had a chance to eat, I was quite disappointed. The entire meal was bland, I requested a spice level of medium and there was no spice at all! The chicken itself didn’t taste or appear to be chicken (totally should have checked the order prior to leaving), and the naan bread that came with my meal was burned and tough to bite. Ugh! Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Slllllllloooooooooowwwwwww Service! Most people only have an hour (some only 30-45min) for their lunch break. It took nearly 2 HOURS for our lunch today. There’s a *horrid* floral (cleaning spray?) smell in the dining room. Makes it really hard to enjoy the food and makes one wonder what worse smell it is covering up. Brought out my check and they charged me for a soda I didn’t order!
The food was actually decent and especially the lunch specials were priced well. But, it didn’t have much taste to it (maybe it was the floral overkill…) and the food at India Palace has a much better flavor to it.
I went with a group from work and I don’t know about the rest of them, but I won’t be back on my own!

I ordered the masala dosa. The aloo masala had no spices and only tasted like frozen vegetables. The chutneys looked like they had been stored in the back for years.
