This deli is a hidden gem. They have a simple menu of sandwiches breakfast plates, salads and a hot buffet boasting Latin favorites like beans, rice, chicken stew, soups and fried plantains. My go to is the cuban sandwich. Its a giant hero stuffed with roasted Pork, mustard, pickles and cheese.

Food and service are great. Big portions, delicious food, great customer service, however, their delivery system is terrible. I called a burrito for delivery and not only did they drop my order off at the wrong house over an hour late, but when I called and had them deliver it again, their delivery driver WALKED INTO my house when I specifically gave directions to leave the order OUTSIDE of my door. I called the restaurant and thankfully I was given a refund. I have ordered from this place for many years now but this experience really made me re think. The daughters of the owner are always very sweet and understanding though.

Pulled up on primo’s after their return hoping it might be better but pretty much more of the same… It’s not bad but it’s not great. More right in the middle though a better option than some of the other spots in town since they’re more consistent here. Still I wasnt overly impressed w/the pollo guisado, maybe I was expecting too much. The flavors are good but I feel like it’s missing something.

Friendliest service ever; brightened my day. Even though I walked in just as they were preparing to close for the night, they offered to pause what they were doing to make a hot sandwich for me. The sandwich was very good and remarkably cheap for its level of quality too.

My dad was standing outside in their parking lot awkwardly eating food from home while I was ordering (literally eating a plain baked chicken drumstick next to the car lol. Dads!). While I was waiting for my sandwich they went out, unprompted, and invited him inside to sit at their table with me while he ate. They even offered him some napkins. Couldn’t believe how nice that was.

Delicious veggie burritos
A perfect meal when you want something satisfying that will either cause you to over eat (cause it’s so delicious) or split into two servings. Plates are heavy and food very tasty. Also the daughter and owners are very sweet.

The food here is absolutely delicious!! They have delicious choices of meats and sides including oxtail and yuca! The pork rice is a must try, and everyone that works here is always kind and welcoming! Definitely best Latin food in town

I’ve lived in New Milford, Connecticut for almost 25 years now (since early 2001), and Primo’s is, in my opinion, one of the tastiest Latin American eateries I’ve had the pleasure of purchasing from in not only Litchfield County, but the state of Connecticut as a whole.

My favorite item on the menu is the caballito—I prefer it with chicken or pork—especially with all of its typical ingredients plus extra creamy chipotle sauce. (By the way, the caballito *here*, at Primo’s, *should NOT* be confused with other dishes called “caballito”, such as the Mexican and Murcian (Spanish) seafood fritters. THIS caballito is actually rather similar to a Mexican mulita but with a soft flour tortilla wrapped around it before being grilled.) It’s absolutely delicious.

Love this place. Friendly comfort food. Great burritos, empanadas, beans and rice, pork. It’s my go to when I need a quick alternative to home cooked meal. Everyone there is super nice and helpful. One of my favorites.
