For more than 30 years, PrimoHoagies has been bringing the unmistakable taste of Philadelphia to the communities it serves. Founded in South Philadelphia, the brand built its reputation on quality — premium meats and cheeses, award-winning seeded bread, and hoagies crafted fresh to order. More than just a sandwich, a hoagie is a Philly staple rooted in tradition, built with care, and defined by the quality of every ingredient.
Philly-born counter-serve sandwich chain known for its hefty hoagies built on sesame-seed rolls.

So I’m from Philly, and have lived in Berks county for over 25 years. This entire time I have not had a cheese steak that tastes like home until now. The bread is super fresh, the meat and cheese so tasty. This is my second time visiting here in a week. My daughter had the turkey and cheese and told me I would love it. Primos I’ve been waiting for you!

I love primos ever since I lived in Philly. I don’t know if Primo’s HQ changed their portions, this location did, or if the person preparing half-assed it. But there was nowhere near the amount of meat they used to have. My last two sandwiches looked like this. If the peppers weren’t there, there wouldn’t be much of anything. Also the macaroni salad was different this last time: not good or bad just noticed a change.
I still have 3 stars because the ingredients were good, the roll is fantastic, and it was still tasty. But it’s not worth the money if they are now skimping on the meat.

Very solid hoagie option. Each of my fav places has its unique draws and for Primo it is the seeded hard roll – it is excellent if you like a sesame seeded roll. They’ll scoop it too which works great if you like to find ways to cut senseless carbs and not feel too bad about cheating with a hoagie in the diet in the first place. What they pack into the sub is great and with nice options. Menu of subs is above average too. Lastly, the service has been super friendly and they provide a lot of coupons and deals – why not save a few bucks along the way … if you haven’t tried them yet, you should. It is among my top two sandwich spots in the area.

I was a fan of Primo Hoagies in the Philadelphia area so when they opened a branch where I live in Wyomissing, I was intrigued.
The quality of this location seems to be much lower than the quality of the franchises in the Philadelphia area.
The subs I ordered recently just didn’t taste as fresh or were filled as much as they were in those. Additionally, the staff at this location leaves quite a bit to be desired. The management team seems to be OK with workers bickering with each other in front of customers, making rude and off-color remarks to each other, and general horseplay that is very uninviting for customers.
On a final note, I got mildly sick from the last sub I ordered from here (either that or from breakfast, but I’m leaning toward this place). I don’t think I will ever be back.

I stopped in to your location in wyomissing on Tuesday, April 1. Below are the photos of the turkey and the Italian hoagies that I received. The buns were hard as a rock and nearly inedible. As you can see, there was very little filling in the hoagie as well. These were the most disgusting hoagies and after a few bites went right in the trash. I would have taken them back but I didn’t discover this until I was home and 30 minutes away. I usually frequent the primos in st Clair (schuylkill county). They are always full and delicious. VERY DISAPPOINTED in Wyomissing. This location is in an up and coming area and I can tell you, if local customers receive this poor quality, I would not expect them back. P.s. the subs were $33 after I added a tip to the preparer, before knowing the condition they were in. I’m sure you would agree based on these photos, this was not worthy of the $16 price per hoagie.

Staff is very accommodating these days. I don’t know if management changed but it’s WAY better than at used to be.
Hoagies are appropriately priced in Wednesdays and too expensive other days. Best hoagies though so I’m there most every Wednesday

Their sesame hoagie rolls are amazing! It was my first time ordering, and I got a ham and cheese sub on the sesame roll, with provolone, may, honey mustard, lettuce and tomato. I also got macaroni salad and potato salad. Everything was delicious. I hope we get a PrimoHoagies near my home in the Baltimore suburbs.

I’m not usually a sandwich person, but the roast beef Schwartzies was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I liked the crunch on the outside of the bread, there was a good amount of roast beef, and the coleslaw and Russian dressing was the perfect combination for me. Service was friendly and efficient. I could see they were very busy with a lot of orders, but we got ours in a timely manner.

Primos Hoagies is one of the only places I’ve ever seen that has eggplant available for hoagies. If you love veggies, are vegetarian, or vegan – there are some amazingly flavorful options to have a great meal.
There’s a great vibe with the staff and owners and the employees that I communicated with were very friendly and helpful.
The pricing is above what you would pay in some other spots but you get what you pay for. The ingredients and flavor are great.
I got the veggie diablo without cheese and all the veggies. ❤️

Primo Hoagies is a franchise sandwich shop that just opened here in Berks County, Wyomissing, PA.
The food is excellent! You can choose from three different sizes. A small, primo or a whole sandwich.
The small comes on a seedless bun, the primo comes on a seeded bun as well as the whole.
They have several different sandwiches on the menu, sells Herr’s brand chips and Pepsi products. They also have their own branded Primo chips which taste just like an Italian sandwich.
This was my first trip to this location and I will definitely be back.
I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a sandwich to come here. If you never had a Primo Hoagie before, after your first bite you will never want another hoagie from anywhere else! They are delicious and I’m so happy that we now have one local!
