Our food was delicious, and the place was clean. The service & friendliness was outstanding! I’m not sure I’ve ever been in a quick eatery like this where all 3 of the staff seemed genuinely interested in us. We were just passing through, but that was impressive! They made sure our order was exactly how we wanted it. Even as we were leaving, one of the staff was outside, saw us leaving, and called out to us with kind words.

I’m from out of town, so I’ve never eaten at a PrimoHoagies before. I got the chicken parm sub. And I have to say: it was a really great sandwich! Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

I know it’s been open for a few months, but we’ve simply not had a hankering for subs until today.

Stopped in and decided to try a couple of small subs for dinner. To conduct a fair test, decided on the Pescara – which is your basic Tuna sub – and the Diablo Turkey – which their menu claims was voted best in Philly!

Well, I am glad I am not in Philadelphia as to me this was just a normal turkey sub with some cayenne pepper thrown on it to make it somewhat spicy. I did not find it unique in any way. The same was true of the Pescara although we did appreciate the fact that they did not drown the tuna in mayonnaise. The bread was just standard white rolls – we were told that you need to order the 9 inch subs to get the seeded rolls.

For sides, we tried their cole slaw. It was on the sweet and creamy side. I liked it. If you like the other styles of cole slaw, you will not enjoy this one.

Overall impression? Not as good as Subway and not as unique as Firehouse Subs. For two 6 inch subs, the cole slaw and one bag of chips, we ended up spending $25.

Got the primo cheesesteak and it was cold and dry. Waited 10 minutes for it and it came out cold!? We were the only ones there, so how it can be cold, I have no idea. It was so dry I had to have a drink to swallow every bite. It was our first time here and it was definitely not worth $40. Unfortunately, we will not return.

The Tuna Diablo was best tuna sub I’ve ever had.

I have ordered here quite often and they never seem to get an order right. I’d understand if there were substitutions or extras involved but missing an ingredient on a standard 3 ingredient sandwich is laughable. I have had times where they called me to tell they didn’t have something in stock and they would refund. Never got the refund. Food is great when it’s right. At least location that happens about 20% of the time. Never again

I’ve become obsessed with the “whacked chicken” hoagie! I’ve ordered it 4 times at PrimoHoagies. I’ve been to this location twice and the one in the strip twice. Every visit has been excellent. I order the smallest size and it’s just enough to fill me up! The total comes to around $10.

Best place in Pittsburgh to grab a hoagie. Fantastic menu items you can’t find anywhere else, great hardworking people, very friendly. The owner Mike makes you feel like family when you are there.

The large is definitely LARGE. But for $26 cheesesteak, it was dry and the cheese was barely melted through. The bread was probably the best part. I’d give it 2.5 stars. Possibly try one of their Italians to give them another shot.

Food was awful. Ordered lunch for clients and spent $240 . Needless to say I was embarrassed after most people took a few bites then threw their sandwiches away… cheesesteak was one of the worst I’ve had, dried out and cheese not even melted, the others who had the same agreed… luckily I ordered chips for everyone so at least something was good…. do NOT recommend
