We wanted some real pizza so we decided Primo Pizza in Clayton was where we were going. We used the slice delivery app for the 1st time. Worked smoothly. We got garlic knots, cheese sticks and 2 16 inch pies (pizzas) one cheese and a meat lovers. The garlic knits smelled really good but didn’t seemed fried and a couolemwete burnt. It’s ok the cheese sticks were decent. The pizza was as expected very good very large and filling. Give it a try of you haven’t already.

We have been coming here for years and it has just progressively gotten worse. They didn’t know where our order was but my order said it was ready for pickup. Our pizza wasn’t even done tonight so I had to come home and finish cooking it myself, the cheese and sauce slid right off the pizza when picked up. I think it’s time we are giving up on this place and trying something new.

Moved to Clayton almost 2 years ago. Have been by Primo Pizza many times and said we gotta try it. Finally did today. Asked for a plain cheese pizza, partially cooked cuz it was earlyish and we were gonna finish cooking at home. The gentleman making the pizza cooked it exactly as asked, showing us before we took it. Being from the NY area, and my husband being Italian, we are very picky about our pizza. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Highly recommend – you will NOT be disappointed

This was my first and last time here I will not be back . I was very excited to try this pizza place since I work on the same street.Upon entry the cashier was not friendly and did not greet to say hello how are you or anything. I preordered online since I was on a small time crunch. When I told the cashier my name ming I noticed she dropped the fries and tenders. So I did ask did they just start cooking (because i left my car on). She stated No but I went outside to turn my car off. I then asked her did they have any dipping sauces for my chicken tenders she stated it came with ketchup… That was not my question.. ( I personally think she was more so focused on trying to say it didn’t come with sauce) I re-asked what other dipping sauces do you all have. she stated it’s extra as if i don’t see a sign in front of me stating that… I let her know “ sweetheart I will pay for it” … She then told me it was .80 but the sign says .75 but however i didn’t point it out. I did let her know I hope she has a better day. I did not catch the cashier name she was a young hispanic looking lady with glasses.

Wow, was it good piping hot pizza! The dough is amazing, the sauce has great flavor, and the cheese is just right. Primo Pizza is my favorite pizza place in the Clayton area and even beats other Raleigh pizza joints, in my opinion. To top it off, the customer service is great and they will actually talk to you with a smile, which can be hard to find these days. I definitely recommend eating in for the freshest of pizza that is just absolutely on point. It’s a little cramped inside and could use a little sprucing up inside, but it doesn’t upset me enough to knock a star off.

Amazing pizza!! I have been ordering from Primo Pizza ever since they opened in Clayton. The pizzas are delicious and are prepared NY style. I typically get pepperoni but this evening we got the New Yorker and it did not disappoint!! The fresh green peppers and sliced onions adds so much flavor. This is now a favorite in my home.
Primo also always provide great service!
