We heard about the $40-$50 for two Summer Dinner Special at this New-to-US restaurant on Venice Island and we went there after a Dr. Apt. And, are we glad we did!! Great steak dinner, with garlic mashed potatoes, a Caesar salad with fancy bread and butter and my wife had a stuffed baked potato with hers. I drank sweet tea, she had soda. Completely and delightfully stuffed, we got out of there for under $75 bucks, including Amanda’s tip!!

Nice Steakhouse, without insane pricing. Sat in bar area at high tables, 4 of us. Compliment Pop Overs were delicious. Great salad that we had before our steaks. Hallie was our server who was very pleasant and enjoyable. Her service was spot on. Jackie the manager is always helpful. Keep up the good work??

I’ve been dining here for years now. The service has declined. The size of the martini and drink glasses has gotten smaller. Last night I ordered a $93 porterhouse aged steak. It arrived at the table on a small plate with the bone hanging off and it was a thin steak. Again, smaller portions. I spoke to the wait staff and asked them why wasn’t the steak sliced off the bone in the kitchen and presented on a platter with the bone semi attached looking like what a $93 steak should and she told me “we don’t do that here” with an attitude. I noticed the same diminishing service at their sister restaurant called The Banyan House in Wellen Park. I guess the owners want to maximize their profits and don’t care about their patrons. I shall not be back to either place. There are better places nearby. Such a shame. I actually used to enjoy both places. This review comes after my repeated visits and is an accurate representation.

Another location my wife I went to with high expectations but ended up with disappointment.

For starters, parking is a nightmare. This is not wholly the restaurant’s fault because its location just does not provide for much parking. Even the lots themselves are a bit wonky.

The inside, while very nice, was very loud. We ended up sitting at the bar instead of having to wait for a table and it was very difficult to hear one another.

The bright spot of our entire evening was the service. The bartenders who took our order and served us were all very pleasant. They refilled the bottomless salad and bread numerous times without our having to ask them to do so.

Unfortunately, we found our entrees to not be as good as other steakhouses. The seasoning was just not there, and quality of the steak was not commensurate with the price.

Having other steakhouses we go to regularly we will be hard pressed to justify returning to Prime.

This place is loud- can’t hear yourself think loud.

The bad: Only two choices of salad dressing so you better like a peppercorn or Cesar dressing. Both dressing were too spicy for my elderly parents. Au gratin Potatoes were bland.

The good: Steak was excellent and the popovers were good especially with the cinnamon butter. And my parents liked the twice baked potato

A suggestion is to put rubber wheels one the salad carts that rattle on the wooden floor. It would help with the noise and decrease the constant clattering of dishes.

It was our first time. We went for lunch as we both don’t have big appetites. It was amazing. We both had the French Onion Soup. It was Delian’s was a meal in itself. They use their popovers for the bread in it and they were delicious. I had the appetizer calamari, the chili glaze has a kick but delicious. My dad had the Parisian burger and it was cooked perfectly. We both had boxes to take leftovers home! Toni, our server was wonderful and gave us a history on the restaurant. I forgot to mention we started with a drink and I was delighted with the Prime Cosmo. It comes served with a smoke bubble. Great presentation, so much so a patron at an adjoining table saw it and ordered one. We will return

The server was fantastic!! We did have to wait a long time for a table but so worth it. They even gave us popovers while waited. The steaks were excellent. Had a wonderful time!!

The family caught an early Sunday dinner at PRIME on the island of Venice. Loved that all the meals came with salad and popovers. Our meals included the blackened prime rib, regular prime rib and their chicken dish. Great taste and nice sized portions. We had plenty for leftovers. Definitely recommend!

Don’t sleep on this place for lunch! The burger was one of the best I’ve ever had and my wife loved the steak sandwich. They came with the delicious pop overs too. Service was excellent as well. This was our first time trying lunch and will definitely be back.
