The menu is very misleading. The prices do not reflect the portion size. I might say that the price is highway robbery. $22 for a tiny portion of suya. Also the menu says puff puff medley meanwhile it’s one 3, that’s very misleading and for $15, outrageous.

The drinks were good, got a couple cocktails, the service was good likewise.

But for the I wouldn’t recommend. I’d say they better adjust their pricing or adjust their portion size or else people will catch on and stop coming

This a a response to your reply.
The puff puff was not 5 pieces it was 3 I wish I had a picture. I don’t know if your staff don’t know the portions but please go and fix your business because I can swear on everything I own that I was only given 3 puff puff and even if I got 5, that is still not a medley. Go and look in the dictionary for what a medley is before using it. 5 puff puff for $15 does that make sense to you.

Also I don’t know why you’re getting heated, no one is trying to bash your business if things are done right we will leave a good review. Instead of you to take these reviews as constructive criticism you’re there insulting me, well that’s your own problem I’m doing well in life. Can’t say the same about your restaurant.

I recently dined at this restaurant and left disappointed for several reasons.

Ambience: It did not meet my expectations. The atmosphere felt lacking for the price point.
Distractions: There was a generator or some contraption near the bar area that was distracting to see.
Food quality and value: The dishes felt low in quality and overpriced. Each component seemed to be charged separately.
Example: Ordered Oxtail Rasta Pasta. For $22, I received two pieces of oxtail and $18 for a bowl of pasta. It felt like an overcharge for a minimal portion.
First impression: I should have trusted my initial instinct and left when I noticed the restaurant was empty.
Service inconsistencies: The server did a great job describing two happy hour options, but then returned to say only egg rolls were available.
Operational quirks: A bell was used to alert that food was ready, which reminded me more of a diner than a fine dining experience.
Added charges and tipping: There was a gratuity plus a convenience fee, which contributed to the overall sense of overpricing.
Outcome: I left feeling disgusted by the whole experience, despite tipping an additional $20 to the server on top of the gratuity, just to acknowledge the effort. I would not return and consider it a waste of time and money.

THE MOST HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I reserve on Open table for 10 ppl @830 pm they made me put my card info in and had all these rules for reserving so I’m thinking they legit … get there and they weren’t even ready for us the manager had no idea we were coming and how many people. He managed to put a couple tables & chairs together for us.Once seated it was a big commotion on the other side ,apparently it was another birthday dinner and they were not pleased with the service or their food. They were refusing to pay the 18% gratuity because their service was horrible , food was cold and some they never received. It got so bad they walked out without paying and the manager was waving bye. At this point we’re second guessing whether to stay or leave because our table wasn’t ready and another party was disappointed with their service/food. We decided to stay because at this point it’s a little late and it’s us (10 ppl) and 4 others at the bar were the only ones in the restaurant. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and possibly prove us wrong. The only young lady working the entire dining area and bar offered us shots on the house for staying. We waited 1 hour to get the shot as promised “because they ran out of shot glasses “. In the meantime time we never received water at our table and I kept asking for water and throughout the entire dinner and never received it. Finally able to place our order around 945 and half the menu they don’t have..no oxtails no lamb chops no goat meat no coconut shrimp . We managed to work around it, the fries and wings came out cold and they ran out of Jollof rice . We ordered drinks and also never received it .After so many disappointments we just ask for the check. Try to pay cash we was told it has to be the exact amount because they have no change we said we can pay with card was told the receipt machine not working. I left overwhelmed and with a headache If i could give 0 stars i would.
PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF!!!!!!

It was my birthday dinner and a mess. The owner should be ashamed having 1 person working the bar and tables and at times the kitchen it seems. Got there before our 830 reservation of 8. Couldn’t get water for the 2 hours plus we were there or our drinks. 3 red snappers were the most expensive thing we order with most items unavailable with wings being the star dish and was charged over 500 dollars for 8 people we were missing items so the math wasn’t mathing. We couldn’t see how bad we were overcharged because we never got a bill. The owner was on the phone several times with the only person in the front but never showed up to assist her. All I can say it’s not work the money and that young lady needs a raise. Shame on the owner. We paid the 522.40. So please call the police with your proof

Food critic here! Let me give you the Real Real about Prime . I will write about one of my orders; Rasta Pasta with charred grilled shrimp. I had a pleasant experience. I’m originally from the UK, and it’s worth noting that historically African dining style restaurants are fairly rare in Philadelphia. If you’re looking for oversized portions typical of a traditional African restaurant, this isn’t that and it’s not advertised to be.
*Disclaimer* parking is hard to find, in the area its close to the downtown area so Uber to avoid the stress.

Top menu items if you’re looking for something good?
1.Beef Suya
2. Goat Meat Pepper Soup
3. Fried Red Snapper
4. Fried Plantain
5. Asun

Prime Fusion is a smaller establishment, so the bar selection is more limited than what you’d find at larger venues. That said, it has the essentials especially when it comes to tequila.

Service was excellent. I came on a Wednesday night there was no wait. Look I dont need my waiter to do backflips to keep us entertained . I came here to EAT! Hey im a jester myself so ill make a jokes. Our server introduced herself, gave us ample time to review the menu, we had bottled waters, she answered questions clearly, and remained attentive throughout the evening. The drinks were a 10/10.

A little love in the food might go a long way. Still, the music was good, prices were fair for dining out, and the overall vibe was enjoyable. I’d definitely return to see how the kitchen continues to improve.

I really hate to leave this kind of review, especially for a Black-owned business, because I truly understand the challenges of building something from the ground up. My partner and I came here for a date night a few days ago, and I’ve been sitting with the experience, hoping it would feel different—but it hasn’t.

He ordered the fish with fried rice, and I got the chicken with fried rice. Unfortunately, what we received was boiled boxed rice, not what we expected when we saw the photos online. When we asked if it was supposed to be fried rice, we were told yes, but it didn’t match what was advertised or what we imagined. The fish was good and he really enjoyed it, but my chicken was disappointing—three small pieces, mostly bone with very little meat.

To top it off, we were charged $14 for two cups of water that were offered to us. We didn’t even drink them, and typically water is complimentary at most restaurants.

That said, the space itself is beautiful and has great potential. I just feel honesty and transparency are so important in business. Integrity builds trust—and I truly wish them nothing but success and growth moving forward.

I wanted this place to be a gem but I got a rock instead. Get there and they didn’t have over half of the menu. No goat, no shrimp, no fish and no oxtail and that’s just for starters. The server was really nice but she seemed to have had a misunderstanding with the kitchen because she came out 2x and told us that they didn’t have the dishes we ordered only to come back 2x and say that they have them. There was only 4 people in the restaurant and it still took our food over45 minutes to come out. When we got our food all we tasted was salt. I mean it over powered everything. My stewed chicken was literally a drumstick with some type of sauce on it. For the price that they charge the food should be a lot better. The honey garlic wings were the best thing to eat outta everything that we ordered. I don’t think I’ll come back to this location even tho I like the atmosphere.

So I see the reviews that it’s expensive for a small portion I decided to try this restaurant for myself the total for two entrees and for it to be delivered was $75.
I will let you guys know the portions sizes if it’s $75 worth because $75 is a lot of money . Hopefully it will be enough food that will last me for two days . I’m starting out with a 5 star review .

Update : changing from 5 STARZ to 1 . Food was okay .
Portions are really really small for $75 . It’s not even half way fulling the Bowls.
Won’t order from here again. Then I only received 1 fork .
Little meat in both .
Not worth it . I should’ve listened to the reviews .

Update : I got food poisoning from this place .

This small menu is not up to date. Shots say $5, no timeframe, but bartender said it starts at 7p. But they corrected it for us.
Customer service was good !
No good parking
Wings weren’t all that to me. I was expecting it to be hot, like I was told.
I got the peri peri wings. They were not hot at all.
Husband liked his Buffalo wings and the Philly cheese steak eggrolls (ground beef). He gave it a 7 out of 10.
The coconut shrimp was good
Didn’t get any big meals bc we didn’t want to be disappointed if the meal wasn’t savory for the prices

We had gone to prime fission on a Saturday. The place was beyond loud. To the point where the waiter couldn’t hear us and we couldn’t hear her. We ordered our drinks and our appetizers. We asked them to turn the music down, but that didn’t change anything. If you’re trying to sit down and have any type of conversation, don’t even bother.
We then placed our dinner order and after (I kid you not) 5 minutes, we cancelled because the music was ridiculous at that point and we were not going to stay and yell at each other and our waiter.
We told our waiter that we’d just like our appetizers because those orders were placed a while ago, whereas our meals was only 5 min. She immediately got an attitude and asked if we could take our food to go. We said no, we didn’t want to stay and would just like to pay for our meals and drinks and leave. She was hostile and even getting our bill was a battle. And that’s not even to mention how ridiculous the prices were. But with African restaurants that’s to be expected. So for the owner to respond in such and unprofessional manner and minimize our experience to it was “out of our budget” is beyond unprofessional. We knew the prices before we came and wanted to enjoy good African food. But unfortunately this is not the place for it. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME at this place.
