I can’t remember the name of the drink that I got, but it was on the beverage menu with tequila. It was very good and they were not stingy with the tequila lol!
I got the oysters With the mignonette sauce. I’m literally obsessed with that sauce! They were AMAZING
The roasted bone marrow. It was great but i probably would try a different appetizer next time bc there were so many i wanted to try! It came with this blackberry jam With crispy bread, and it was such a good combination of flavor!
Next was the roasted beet and arugula salad with the honey lavender vinaigrette. It was really good, but I couldn’t really tell the vinaigrette had lavender in it. the beats were very thinly sliced, which I liked and the arugula was fresh and tasty!
I got the scallop gnocchiette. It was not potato pasta, but like actual pasta that was in the shape of gnocchi. It had a lemony creamy sauce, and the scallops were blackened perfectly!! Very good.
My boyfriend got the pork chop dinner. It was really thick and cooked perfectly. His only complaint was he wish it had a little bit more seasoning on it. I tried some of the chimmichuri sauce and it was delicious! The mashed potatoes were fabulous too with the Boursin cheese.
And then dessert was a lemon cello mascarpone cheesecake . We were so full by this point , but we ate every last bite of that cake because it was so good.
I will definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a fine dining experience.
For appetizers we enjoyed bacon wrapped scallops, highly recommend!! And we had the crab dip, again highly recommend! Our main entrée’s were the 16 oz. Ribeye cooked perfectly medium-rare with a XL loaded baked potato, that entire meal was the best ever! My wife enjoyed crab cakes with arugula and broccolini and it was absolutely delicious! We had no room for dessert but they brought out two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies which we took home along with our left overs packed up perfectly by Gillian. Our cocktails were made top notch and tasted delicious, we had the Tequila Orange crush and the pomegranate hibiscus Cosmo! Prime Bistro is a elegant, top notch dining experience with very enjoyable ambiance and wonderful decor with the perfect romantic lighting. Our bill with the tip was a little over $300 but it was well worth it and we will definitely be back!
For mains, the pan-seared grouper was flaky and fresh, with a lovely cream sauce. The chicken piccata was bright and buttery, with a velvety lemon-caper sauce that stole the show. But the crown jewel? The filet flight, served with a luxurious truffle butter that should honestly be sold by the jar—absolutely divine.
And to sip? An Old Fashioned that was strong, smooth, and expertly crafted. The kind of cocktail that makes you want to linger a little longer.
The atmosphere was warm and upscale without feeling stuffy, and the service was attentive and genuine.
We just left Prime Bistro and couldn’t wait to share our experience! My husband and I love dining out and have visited many nice restaurants, but Prime Bistro truly stands out as one of the best we’ve ever been to.
From the moment we walked in, the ambiance, service, and food were all absolutely 5 stars. As business owners, we really appreciate the small details—and Prime Bistro did not miss a beat. We mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. Everyone greeted him with warm birthday wishes, and they even surprised him with a birthday card signed by the entire staff and a thoughtful small gift. That kind of personal touch is rare and so appreciated.
The food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. Our server, Sean, took the time to walk us through the menu and made fantastic recommendations. Logan was also incredibly attentive, making sure our table was always clean and our drinks were full.
We’re not from the area and chose Prime Bistro based solely on reviews—so glad we did! They made my husband’s birthday celebration truly unforgettable.
THANK YOU, Prime Bistro, for such a memorable evening! We’ll be telling all our friends and will absolutely be back next time we’re in town.
I’m used to dining at steakhouses like Chophouse in Charleston, Grill 225, and Capital Grille, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, this was a hard no for me—especially on the ribeye. It was a bit chewy and clearly not prime, which is disappointing at this price point. I understand theres not alot of prime steakhouses around so you have to deal with what you have of course. The filet was pretty good.
*Service was also lacking. For a *$325 bill, we shouldn’t have had to ask multiple times for water refills and to try and get the waiter to the table was difficult. Although hes a nice guy, hes not very observant of his surrounding tables that hes working. He is all about sales, which will leave a bad taste in your mouth. Almost like a car salesman at a restaurant. Lol. My mother had to ask for water twice and my glass was empty at least twice. My husband had to wait 5 or so minutes to get the waiter to ask for more blue cheese dressing. Waiter also didnt understand that my husband wanted a black coffee with a small side of cream?!
Husband got a bourbon drink that was supposed to be smoked, but clearly it wasn’t smoked.
*Bread is not complimentary, and when ordered, the portions are very small, but good overall —be prepared to order several baskets if you have a table with more than 2 people.*
*at least 1 basket should be complimentary at that price point.
The blue cheese dressing tasted bottled, with no visible blue cheese chunks at all and barely any on the wedge salad. The Caesar salad was tasty.
We tried the lobster bisque which was tasty and also the creme brulee.
Overall, the experience didn’t justify the cost, especially when compared to other steakhouses that consistently deliver better quality and service.
We did get birthday sample bottles of balsamic and olive oil which was a nice gesture. No birthday desserts are offered here.
We returned here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. This is, without a doubt, the best steakhouse in Eastern North Carolina. Having lived in the Boston area, we’re accustomed to high-end steakhouses on every corner—and this is the only one we’ve found in ENC that matches that level of excellence.
The bacon-wrapped scallops were absolute perfection—crispy, flavorful bacon paired with tender, beautifully seared scallops atop creamy rice grits. As someone who typically doesn’t enjoy grits, I could’ve eaten an entire bowl!
I ordered the filet flight, and it was flawless: three perfectly cooked medium-rare tenderloins, each paired with a distinct sauce or butter—truffle butter, bone marrow butter, and a rich steak au poivre. Creamy Boursin mashed potatoes complemented the dish beautifully. My husband chose the ribeye, which was evenly cooked to a perfect medium rare and served with a generously loaded XL baked potato.
We paired our meal with a bottle of Caymus, which was the ideal finishing touch to a phenomenal dinner. If you have a special occasion coming up—or just want to treat yourself—do yourself a favor and dine here. The quality is unmatched, and the value is outstanding.
