Prime Beef Shabu, a Japanese style all-you-can-eat hotpot, with thinly sliced meat and vegetables cooked in individual hotpot broth and dipped in sauces. Diners cook their own food at the table, adding ingredients to a pot of simmering broth. It is a great meal to enjoy with friends and family.

A word of advice, pay attention to the cooking instructions the staff provides. Each type of meat and broth has its own timing and best practices, and following them makes all the difference between “pretty good” and “perfectly cooked.” Miso or Bone broth is the way to go!
Don’t skip the shaved ice at the end. It’s light, sweet, and refreshing!
And finally, I have to shout out Liam, our server. He was truly exceptional, the kind of server every restaurant dreams of. Attentive but never overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and proactive without needing to be asked. Liam anticipated when we’d need refills, checked in at just the right moments, and explained the cooking process like a total pro. That’s what a perfect server is: someone who makes the entire meal feel effortless and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish.
Overall, Prime Beef Shabu is an experience, not just a meal, and with service like Liam’s, it’s one you’ll definitely come back for.
Appetizers are decent but toppings for soup were limited. Soup tasted good but at the end of it the taste just turned wierd which I have not encountered at other Hot pot places. Meat was good.
For dessert we did the Taro shaved ice and there were syrup and condensed milk toppings.
Average experience but we have had better Hot pot experiences.
The membership is $10 and it offers some discounts / perks. Lunch pricing on weekdays is also lower.
Nana recommended the shaved ice, and it was delicious! We chose the taro flavor, and my friend added mango syrup on top. Honestly, I’m craving it again just writing this review. You must try it! (Just note that the shaved ice is only available at dinner.)
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be back and hope Nana is my server again.
Soupbase and any add-ons to the broth were yummy such as the dumplings, vegetables, noodles, and msuhrooms. Faves: bone broth, mushroom broth, king mushroom, oyster mushroom, taro.
The appetizers were well made too (some additional costs). Faves: tako yaki, soup dumplings, fried rice, crispy chicken wings.
Manager Richard was our server due to being short-staffed. He did a stellar job nonetheless and made sure we were well attended to and all our questions answered.
The membership is worth it and can give you a big discount even on your first visit and of course in the future.
Restroom is very clean which is a good indicator for restaurant quality.
Improvements: clear separation between items with additional costs on the menu, sweeter milk tea
I highly recommend Prime Beef Shabu to all locals and visitors and especially 1st time hotpoters!
Guests can choose their own ingredients and cook them in personal pots with a variety of broths, ranging from light to spicy.
The thinly sliced prime beef, seafood, vegetables, and sides were all thoughtfully prepared.
The space is clean and cozy with a modern feel. For larger groups, they offer private rooms with round tables—my whole family loved it.
I was especially impressed with their matcha shaved ice—it was rich and flavorful.

Tried Prime Beef Shabu for lunch. It’s in the Woodlands. Hubby got the bone broth and I got mushroom broth. They had a good selection of meats, seafood, and veggies. There was sauce station to mix your dipping sauce and a few appetizers like popcorn chicken and fried dumplings. They also have a shaved ice machine and some fruit for dessert. Overall, pretty good – food and service.

First of all, the service is great, the ingredients in the store are very fresh. Whether it’s meat, seafood, vegetables or others, there are many choices and the freshness is also very good.
There are several types of pot bases to choose from. We ordered a sharing pot, one house spcial and one mashroom The flavors were spot on and it was very satisfying to eat. The sauce bar area also offers a wide variety of options, allowing you to freely mix and match according to your personal taste. Whether you prefer a bold flavor or a light one, you can find a sauce combination that fit you.
