Food was okay but definitely overpriced. To make matters worse, I found olive pit piece in my bread which cracked my back tooth. very bad experience overall. Terrible customer service as well.

Dining at Prime 44 was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The steaks were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection—easily among the best I’ve ever had. The lobster mashed potatoes? To die for. Rich, buttery, and packed with lobster meat, they were the star of the table.
The corn side dish was surprisingly exquisite, bursting with sweetness and expertly seasoned. We also tried the shrimp cocktail, which was chilled, fresh, and seasoned to perfection—simple, yet elevated.
The drinks were strong and well-balanced, and the service was top-tier—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Prime 44 delivers on every level: food, drinks, and hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable fine dining experience.

Prime 44 West is an awesome steak house. We started off with a basket of assorted breads with butter. The highlight was the cornbread!
The foie gras is to die for as well as the pork belly with watermelon and the tuna tartare. I highly recommend the Kansas City strip as an entree.
For sides a must try is the lobster mashed potatoes. I was skeptical at first, but it was actually the most delicious side that we ordered.
For dessert they prepared a small cake for our friend’s birthday. The cake was light and not overly sweet.
The staff is very professional and attentive. I would absolutely return in the future.

Overpriced, underwhelming, and inedible at times. We went as a group of 8 for meeting. The restaurant itself is well themed and true to the Jerry West angle. The food, however, was foul at times. The cauliflower dish along with the mashed potatoes were way over salted. Could not even eat it. The dish was $50. I could buy enough cauliflower for a year. One steak ordered was burned on one side and rare on the other. The waiter asked about allergies, and we had two people with shellfish allergies. One of them got steak with crab on the plate. Attention to detail was lacking in a restaurant advertised as top level. The souffle was soggy and inedible. The drinks were good. When you pay this amount of money for food, you don’t want these many issues. Won’t be back again.

This was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Hefty price, but well worth it. The salmon and squid ink pasta was fantastic! The steak was perfectly cooked. The lobster mashed potatoes was the single tastiest thing we ate all weekend. I highly recommend this place and will try my best to get back here again when I can.

May be the worst steak we have ever had. The service was terrible, the atmosphere was terrible. Overcooked steak, zero flavor or seasoning. Had to ask multiple servers for butter for the bread, and still never got any whatsoever. When the server asked how our meal was, I said not good. He didn’t respond and ignored me after that. The management couldn’t care less. Every aspect of this establishment is horrible, nothing tasted good. Avoid every restaurant in the resort. You will be disappointed.

We have stayed at The Greenbrier several times but had never dined at Prime 44. So this time we decided to splurge and give it a try and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself was very nice. Our meal was simply delicious and our waiter was helpful and friendly. An overall good experience. When we visit the hotel again I’m pretty sure we’ll be dining here.

We eat at Prime 44 every time we visit the Greenbrier & it never disappoints. The food and drinks are always phenomenal and the service is excellent! Everything we’ve ever ordered has been great! Great atmosphere and decor! We’ve even had the honor of meeting the Jerry West upon one of our visits! Always a great experience!

KC Strip was mostly bone and a lot of fat. Order a different cut. Steak sauce was tomato based BBQ. Lobster mash potatoes and French onion soup were good. Caesar was average but table side service was a nice touch. Deserts were good. Overall over priced and not worth it. Main dining room was a better dinner experience at The Greenbrier.
