Y’all this place was not what I was expecting. I was told “there’s slaw and fries on the sandwiches”..yes there is. Not slaw like i was expecting. A vinegar kind of slaw. The sandwiches are too much for one person (or at least for me) and the onions rings are spectacular. I can’t wait to come back!

Perfect late Sunday night sandwich. I hadda have pastrami; the south (home for me now) isn’t known for great pastrami or corned beef sandwiches so I was happy to grab one while in Pittsburgh. The lone bartender was busy but she knocked out great service! Sandwich was good, first time for Primanti.

This was a phenomenal place. Extremely accommodating for out of town guests as well as dietary restrictions.
They did change the rules for their wait staff. They can no longer wear shorts. Do have to say that I DO NOT agree with that decision. It’s summer and they are serving an outside patio space. Primanti’s is known for their down to earth feel, so why take comfort out of it for the wait staff.
Besides that, too notch!

Restaurant got our to-go order wrong tonight, did not get anything on the side that was requested (and it wasn’t on the sandwich either) and wife was upset because she ended up with just fish, onions and cheese for her sandwich. No fries or slaw to be found in the box or bag. No way to fix this through the app or report a mistake with our order through it even though we ordered directly through the app.
Really disappointed because this is usually the location we frequent! Get your ship right, Primanti’s!

Stopped to try their sandwiches. One of the worst I have ever eaten!! Soggy fries, just sucked! You want an excellent sandwich made with homemade cole slaw, delicious crunchy crinkle fries and on fresh baked bread from a 100 year old bakery (Valdessari’). Look up the Foster House in Belle Vernon, Pa. The “King Sandwich”” is awesome. I get the king steak and there are many choices. Big sandwich with extra crinkle fries served in a great basket. Bar available. Check them out. Tell Dave and Theresa that Becky Miller sent you. Enjoy!

Grabbed some take out which was 2 large pizzas mozzarella sticks and wings. Everything was pretty good the wings were cooked perfectly and the moss sticks were great. The pizza had a great taste but it was way too thin, basically 3/4 of it was like mush. It used to not be like that. Im not if it would be thicker if you ordered a medium??

My first time at Primanti Bros and had an amazing experience at this acclaimed sandwich shop. My goal was quite simple – have a delicious Reuben and a thirst-quenching red ale. Achieved and achieved. The Reuben was incredible, stuffed with french fries and cole slaw, and quite a handful to finish. With great service and sports on numerous televisions to keep me busy, I had a great dinner overall. Primanti Bros met my high expectations and I must say the bill was very reasonable. A can’t miss restaurant in Pittsburgh!

Stopped at KAGC to drop some passengers and found our way to Primanti Bros. I really liked this place. It’s been around some 80 years and the menu has classic sandwiches that have been around most of that time, plus pizza, salads, wings, and “newer” sandwiches. I got the Reuben with fries on it (their signature accoutrement). It was huge and had at least 3/4 pound of corned beef. It had a thousand island sauce WITH horse radish. Very good. The onion rings were good. Tara was incredible! She took great care of us, was very observant, and was quick to offer meaningful opinions when asked, which is so nice. Plus, she was just great to talk to. This place was reasonably priced and they paid attention to details. Try it if you’re near Allegheny County airport.

Our server, Shane, seemed nice enough until I tried to order an alcoholic beverage and my ID was expired. I didn’t mind being denied due to that, but his tone changed after that and after we didn’t want to order any extras. I don’t know if he thought he wouldn’t get a tip because we are a couple of younger people, but after he got our order on the table, he didn’t ask if we needed utensils, condiments, or anything else. He did not check in with us at all. He definitely treated us differently than the other patrons. We had to stop him to get a box. No refills offered. He was only quick to get the bill out and quickly grabbed my card as soon as I put it on the table. He then proceeded to talk to people at the bar for 10 minutes, holding my card hostage, and ignoring his other tables. Somebody had to call him over or it probably would have taken longer. The food was good, and I would have tipped Shane if service were even OK, but all of it was entirely unacceptable. I would have ordered something to go because I don’t go out to this location often, but I just wanted to leave at that point.

Primanti’s is a Pittsburgh thing and everyone has their take on the Primanti Sandwich. I will say that I have have versions that were better. There are a few things that make it work, but the original to me is dry. What they have is unique but its not as special as it once was.
This location has good well lite parking, its clean and at times it can be hard to get seated. Wait staff is efficient and food is quickly delivered.
The one thing I found acceptable was the food specials which have been cut. Without them I would doubt my frequency will remain the same…
