Primal Coffee is a locally owned and operated coffee shop that wood roasts a Peaberry coffee blend. There are two locations – 20 N Latah and 224 N 9th St. The second shop shares space with local legends, Meriwether Cider. Coffee is served Monday-Friday from 7:00am-12:00pm.

I’ve been going to Primal for lattes and coffee grounds forever now because Austin roasts and serves the best coffee in Boise. I always try new cafes as they open to see if that stays true – and I’m still addicted to Primal, nothing comes close. Now that they’re open on 9th street it’s even easier to get the best coffee in Boise on a chaotic downtown schedule!
