It started with a pretzel. Soft, warm, covered with butter and sprinkled with salt. The perfect snack. After that, pretzel calzones stuffed with cheese, fresh produce and premium meats. Then we introduced pretzel pizza (and we haven’t been able to find it anywhere else). Pretzel sandwiches and pretzel wrapped hot dogs swiftly followed with creative toppings and new ingredients. PPC is a Frederick tradition and a neighborhood staple! For 34 years, we have been committed to serving fresh, made to order food in a casual environment. We proudly serve Hershey’s ice cream as well! So please, come to Downtown Frederick, eat a tasty, easy-on-your-wallet lunch or dinner and stay a while!

I had a jalapeño-stuffed pretzel and a Philly cheesesteak pretzel calzone. The onions and mushrooms were a bit undercooked, but the crust was amazing. My wife had a cinnamon pretzel and the grilled chicken pesto sandwich on pretzel focaccia. Her only complaint was that the focaccia didn’t really have a pretzel taste, but otherwise the sandwich was very good.
We’ll definitely be back and are looking forward to trying the pretzel pizza next time!
reply to owner’s response: I wasn’t criticizing the concept of pretzel pizza — I was actually looking forward to something unique. The issue is that the chicken and cheese were surprisingly bland, almost like no salt or seasoning was used. I get that styles vary, but even creative recipes still need balanced flavor.
Calm setting, but if it fills up could get a little loud, but nothing outrageous.
Their sweet tea is really good, perfect amount of sweetness, and the tea isn’t too strong. 10/10
The angry bee pizza is good, however, I personally wasn’t a fan of the feta (my fault for not knowing exactly how it tasted. The consistency was too chalky for me and reminded me of blue cheese) 10/10 if you like feta, 7/10 for me
The pretzel dog was really good, straight forward. 9/10
I heard the inside out mozzarella sticks were “ok”. Rating 1: 6/10. Rating 2: “good,” 8/10
The regular cheese & bacon pepperoni pizza were good. 9/10
The oatmeal cookie craving ice cream was good. A mix between a crunchy cookies and creme and oatmeal cookies. 9/10
The cinnamon sugar pretzel was not too much cinnamon and sugar, which is easy to do. The dough was hot and soft. 9/10
What truly sets this place apart is their innovative twist on two comfort food classics: pretzels and pizza. Each dish I tried was a delightful fusion of flavors, perfectly baked to achieve a balance of crispy and chewy textures.
The Pretzel Pizza was a standout – a genius combination that married the soft, buttery goodness of a pretzel with the hearty, flavorful toppings of a traditional pizza. It was a match made in heaven! Additionally, their selection of homemade dips, including a savory beer cheese and a sweet mustard, were perfect companions to their freshly baked pretzel bites.
The staff at Pretzel & Pizza Creations also deserve a shoutout. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, they made great recommendations and ensured our dining experience was top-notch.
In conclusion, Pretzel & Pizza Creations is a must-visit for anyone in Frederick looking for a delightful twist on traditional favorites. Their unique approach to comfort food, combined with a warm and inviting atmosphere, makes for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!
