Delicious food, kind hosts, it’s perfect for watching any game.

The bartender (Danny) made impeccable cocktails, and had excellent advice on pairings.

Highly recommend the brie plate with a Pinot noir!

I really liked the food. The prices were very low for the great tasting items. I ordered a steak and fries for $10. I also ordered a clam chowder that was packed with flavor, clams and bacon. I order clam chowder at other places and it’s watery, not here. I only didn’t like two things. It takes forever for a sever to take the order and the restrooms needed some attention. Had I gotten better service, I would have given it 5 stars in everything.

Normally service here is amazing but today was completely different. Upon sitting down while waiting for a hostess, when i finally got one i was not greeted, neither offered a menu. Luckily i already knew what i wanted. After ordering, my water finally came about 10 minutes later. No one checked on my food nor refilled my water. After i was done eating, i placed my napkin on my plate along with any dirty utensils used. No check was brought to me after that , giving the benefit of the doubt i waited another 15 minutes till i finally asked one of the hostess how much the food was. I would understand if it was busy in there but that was not the case.

A middling experience with some highs and some lows.

Starting with the food. Thos location is serviced food wish from the middle eastern restaurant next door that the share an open walkway between the two with.

The American cheeseburger on happy hour deal is great and well priced. The Hummus, though, is the real gem. I had 2 portions of hummus, and I want more. Falafel’s were a rad over cooked but still pretty good.

Pizzookie, whatever that cookienin a pan is was meh.

The service was excellent. Great wait, staff, and they even let us have our own tv to watch the Wnba game during the padres game. So big props to that. Sound was turned off in favor of the padre game, which isn’t unreasonable, but almost no one was there for the padre game.

Atmosphere is the downside I felt. For a press box theme, the design was more modern high class bar than press box themed sports bar. There are a few pictures of great moments in sports but not a cohesive theme. The partnering of a Middle Eastern restaurant, although convenient, doesn’t add to the press box element. A rebranding would help define the experience as what it appears to be in name, and expectations are not what you get.

With a name like press box and sports lounge you expect casual bar featuring all American food and casual drinking immersed in sports. What you get is a decent restaurant with an attached bar, great wine selection, that happens to have some sports tvs and pictures on the wall.

The other downside would be price. It’s decent food but a few dollars of over what it should be. It makes up for it with happy hour specials, but those should really be the regular price, not the discount.

All and all good experience I would go back for that hummus and if I was in the area and needed a bar it’s a good choice.

I was craving a juicy Ribeye Steak so I decided to give this place a try and they gave me a New York Steak thinking I wasn’t going to notice. I told my waitress and she got nervous they didn’t expect me to be a Butcher for 30 years they fixed my bill but now I’m wondering how many people do they scam like this.

Honestly, not satisfied. Our burgers were burnt, but one was rare and burnt. I like med rare burgers but this in tasted like pure grease and burnt. The bacon on my burger tasted old, but I could be wrong. Nachos were 8 dollars for some hard chips and runny cheese. Sadly, the burger at the Habit, which is right beside it would have been better. Not one person asked how our food was just asked how we were doing.
