Prep & Pastry in Scottsdale is a stylish and lively spot that is definitely worth the visit, though you should be prepared for a bit of a crowd. I found the rose chai latte to be absolutely excellent, beautifully flavored and the highlight of my morning and the pastry was also quite good.

As a tip for fellow visitors, the wait times can be significant, and while street parking is difficult to find, there is a very convenient free parking garage located directly across the street that makes the logistics much smoother.

If the weather is nice, I highly recommend snagging a spot in the outdoor seating area; the “Golden Hour” lighting there is spectacular and provides the perfect backdrop for food photography. Overall, it’s a high-quality destination in Old Town that delivers on both taste and atmosphere.

You can often join their Yelp Waitlist remotely before you even leave the house to cut down on your standing time.

Use the South Bridge Garage located at 7114 E Stetson Dr, which is right across from the restaurant and offers easy access.

This place, located in a prime spot, always caught our eye but was closed whenever we were around. Finally, we decided to stop by for brunch. They don’t take reservations but use a Yelp waitlist system — such a convenient touch!

We went around 2 p.m. on a Sunday and were seated right away. The restaurant has a modern, well-lit, and warm ambiance. Service was quick and exceptional. I tried the butter pecan coffee — easily one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time!

For food, I went with the Harissa Shakshuka. Unfortunately, the sunny-side-up eggs were too runny, and the sauce leaned overly tangy for my taste. I wished I had picked something else. The classic French toast was decent, though I’ve had better.

Overall, the food didn’t quite hit the mark, but the coffee and service definitely did. Prices are reasonable, and the place has potential. For now, I’d rate it a 3.5 but rounding down to a 3.

BEWARE!! The food made us very sick. When you tried to call them to tell them nobody answers the phone they don’t answer the phone and you cannot leave a message. The food was dried out and overcooked and the oil was old they do not change their oil out. There are much better places to eat around there than this place trust me it was way expensive a Cobb salad was 1544 and then they added grilled chicken which was about three pieces that was dried out meat for another $7.25 I literally spent $62.18 at a place that made us sick.
I totally recommend to go down the road to ” Herbs catering & bakery.. “
I wish I could get a refund on this trashy place. It literally rent our whole day after eating there .
We didn’t hardly even finish our meals they were so dried out The bread was dried out the meat was dried out it was like we got served second day leftovers.
And I’m calling the health department tomorrow to ask them to check this place out..

Glad I stopped here for lunch! Was hoping to find a spot with some good gluten free options, and they did not disappoint! The menu was clearly labeled with the gf options. Very well-balanced meal with lots of veggies. The cinnamon date cortado was amazing. I recommend everything I got!

This is now my 3rd time at this Prep & Pastry location. My coffees are always exceptional and the meals are delicious. They have an extensive menu that provides something for everyone. This last time I was a little disappointed. My friend ordered the croissant southwest sammie which sounded fabulous, but there was something off with the croissant. I’m not sure it was done like this on purpose since it’s for a sandwich or if this was a technical issue, but the croissant was dry, tough & dense.

We actually started our day going for breakfast at another establishment, after we sent our food back and it was “redone” and returned to us Luke warm, we left and went to Prep & Pastry. OMG we are soooo glad we did, the service was fantastic and the food was even better. The place was packed and buzzing with energy, all the dishes that went out to tables around us looked wonderful. Thank you for saving our morning, we will be back!!!

I wish I could give this place more stars! Randomly stopped in for breakfast when other restaurants in the area were closed, and I am so happy we did. Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Brandon, our bar tender, was fabulous!! Recommended the sweet potato hash with chicken, exceptional! And their French toast with berries and chai butter! Liz, the manager and all the staff were so friendly. I can’t wait to come back.
