If you ever come to Sevierville this little spot has some of the best bbq you will find. It’s such a warm and cozy place. You definitely get those downhome southern vibes. The BBQ master (Sam-everyone calls Preacher) puts so much love into his cooking. The service was amazing. This will definitely be my new favorite BBQ spot .

Staying in Gatlinburg (15 min drive) and hungry for BBQ stopped at a few near town, not impressed (small portions, high prices) enough to stay and eat. Saw Preacher’s Smokehouse on google maps and drove past the arts and crafts row and there it was – plenty of free parking, nice area to eat in plenty of long tables for groups too, casual eats and owners are friendly, honest hardworking people. Had the burnt ends in a savory, sweet bbq sauce which were tender and melted in your mouth, brisket chili just wow! Flavorful, meaty, the chili flavor was right on point, coleslaw nice and sweet, finally chopped perfect with all the meaty goodness. Husband ordered the Brunswick stew (hey too many great choices had to try it) beans and a wonderful savory broth excellent. I ordered their famous banana pudding that was pure heaven so light and fluffy banana pieces, wafer cookies – perfect end to a great meal by wonderful people. Thanks Preachers Smokehouse! Highly recommend.

Been waiting a while to come here and try the Barbecue. I got the 4 bone Ribs and a Burnt Ends sandwich & Mac & Cheese. The wife got a Brisket Sandwich with Mac and Cheese . I was very impressed with the food. They offered 3 different types of Barbecue Sauce at the table . Preacher reminds me of they why things used to be 30 years ago. It was like going back to a time that no longer exists in this world if only for a moment. The staff was very polite and made you feel welcome. I can’t wait to come back next year.

Food was truly excellent!! Had ribs (fall off the bone, tasty, moist, delicious), burnt ends, and various sides; Cole slaw, Mac & cheese, baked beans and hush puppies. Everything was perfect. You really must give it a try. You order at the window and can take it to go or eat in the little dining area. Preacher Sam is an actual preacher as well as the pit master. Only open Thursday thru Saturday as they hold services in the dining area on Sunday. Extremely fair prices. Loved everything about the experience. God Bless you Preacher Sam and your crew!! Thank you!

Of all our years coming to Pigeon Forge, we decided to try here for the first time today because the reviews were good. I was extremely satisfied in the food and the service. My wife and I both had the brisket and it was very good with a great flavor. The dining room is also used for a small church service on Sundays and Wednesdays. The staff were super nice and very polite. Definitely will be going here again.

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND I’m from Alabama. Me and my 2 friends came up to Gatlinburg to go backpacking and enjoy nature. We decided we wanted barbecue and oh my gosh this place…it’s magical. The chicken and pork requires no sauce although the sauce is amazing! The ribs FALL OFF THE BONE. THEY FALL OFF THE BONE! THIS FOOD WAS MADE WITH PURE LOVE AND SMILES!

We were in the area for the day and stopped to eat at Preacher’s Smokehouse for the first time. What a gem to find! We ate brisket, ribs, and several sides and were very happy with the quality of the food. Try the ribs! The flavors are fantastic! We were also able to talk with Sam for a few minutes and thoroughly enjoyed our time and conversation with him. If you are close then make the effort to eat a meal here – you won’t regret it!

What a find! You can’t get more authentic than this place. The food is incredible and the staff are very friendly. The owner came and chatted to us and made us feel very welcome.
We had a meat combo and chilli cheese fries. It was delicious and the homemade BBQ sauce was amazing. The dining room doubles as a chapel on Sundays where they hold a service twice during the day. If you are in Gatlingerg, Pigeon Forge or Sieverville this place is well worth a drive out for and gives you a great feeling that you are supporting a local business who really care about their customers. Highly recommended!

Read a lot of reviews about this place and a few others, this was the one we went with and was not disappointed! Fall off the bone ribs, brisket, smoked sausage!! Great flavor, tender meat. I’ve had a lot of BBQ and this is pretty high up the list. Met Sam and he was as welcoming and kind as many others mentioned. Go try this, you won’t be disappointed!

An house turned into a BBQ place. They’ve got some indoor tables and had a tent with tables. Very good beans! Nice seasoning on the ribs but they were dry. And their burnt ends weren’t even edible.
