This place has delicious food, wholesome service and great overall vibes!! If you’re looking for a great dining experience look no further. We ordered the habanero chicken, butter chicken, chicken jhol, shrimp curry, chicken byrani and chicken korma. Every single dish was to die for! This is one of my fav restaurant in Steinway to eat when I’m craving Nepali/Indian dish. I have went there multiple times, their cheese naan and butter chicken is my go to. I love their biryani and mango lassi too. The environment is good , service quality is top notch and I talked with the manager when I went there w my friends . He’s super sweet and friendly guy. Definitely recommend.

Pranam gets high marks for value and service. The spinach chaat appetizer was well-executed, my preferred appetizer over the pakora, which was slightly oily. The aloo gobi lunch box ($11.95 plus tax) had an excellent daal side but the main dish and the samosa could have used a bit more spice. The naan was excellent. The butter chicken was tangy and rich.

Absolutely deserves their high overall ratings! This place has such amazing food coupled with good overall affordability. Great spot for a relaxed date or with friends where you just want to have a tasty meal and chat comfortably. The biryani is probably my go to, better than I’ve had anywhere else 🙂

Delicious food! Everything was so tasty and not overwhelming. We got the butter chicken, tellicherry pepper chicken, samosa chaat, and tandoori naan for 2 people and ate every single bite of it! So fast that we forgot to get photos because of how delicious the food was lol. Already planning to go back soon.

We didn’t get any this time but the drinks are also reasonably priced. Beer is $6, liquor is $6-8, and cocktails were no more than $14, most of them at $10 per cocktail. Will definitely try the drinks next time.

Nepalese isn’t our usual go-to cuisine but this place was on our radar for a while and we finally gave it a try. My only regret is not going sooner- this place is awesome! Service was friendly and attentive and the space is large enough to not be noisy. It was a great, peaceful meal at the restaurant with amazing food.

Even if you’re not a usual fan of Nepalese, Indian, or Tibetan food, there’s something for everyone. The tastes aren’t extreme and even for our milder palettes we were so impressed. Definitely recommend giving Pranam a try!

Great food and service. Satisfied our craving for Nepali home cooking.

I loved the Nepali chiya, very aromatic with a pleasant ginger-y note. We were also very happy to find Nepali beer here- they have Nepal Ice and Ghorka. The fried chicken momos tossed in sauce were delicious- the filling was juicy and flavorful and the wrappers were thin and chewy.

It’s an awesome addition to Astoria!

As a real foodie, I always love discovering a new cuisine, and I found a new one in Astoria.

I really like Indo-Chinese cuisine and this menu reflects these regions in interesting ways. Nepali fare really feels like a fusion between two of my favorite cuisines so it’s cool to identify the flavors in every dish.

There’s something for everyone on this menu but I highly suggest trying the BUTTER CHICKEN MAC N CHEESE. A dish I have never seen before and can’t figure out why! Their butter chicken sauce was so good and pairs with the pasta perfectly.
