Prairie Schooner has been in eugene for a very long time. My papa has been coming here since he was a kid. The soup here is super good and also the biscuits are super notable. Service here is usually pretty fast and friendly. Parking here is great and big enough for multiple trailers.

They have two seating areas, a bar and lottery machines and a pool table.

Atmosphere here is pretty good but I definitely think they could use a remodel. New floors and fresh paint maybe.

Great place to watch the game and grab a tasty meal!

We have been going for the broasted chicken. The first few times it was great. Then, they apparently got a new cook who thought the chicken had to be cremated to be done. The crust was black and tasted burned. We were told by two different waitresses that it was juicy inside but they couldn’t control how hot the broaster got, and so the outside was darkk. Obviously not true, because we had had it several times done right and delicious. It is cooked so long it isn’t juicy and it is obviously burned. Sadly, we have decided not to go back.

This place is great! I stop here every time that I visit Eugene, which is every two weeks. It’s always consistent with its service and food quality is never a disappointment. The greatest thing about this place is the prices are below what other restaurants charge. If you like video poker, they have plenty of machines for everyone, if video poker isn’t your thing, they also have Keno too. The bathroom’s are a little outdated but always clean and smells good. Keep up the wonderful jobs ladies!! You keep me coming back!

Went for lunch today … driest hamburger i have ever had … also the taters are more like chips now not what they use to be… the food has gone down hill in the last 4 to 6 months. We use to loom forward to eating there and after today’s experience I am not sure i will be back … at least for a long time.

This is a great working class bar. Delicious food, excellent service, lots of parking and gambling. They have elk burger, it’s really good. Their prices are reasonable; you get a lot of food for around $15/plate. I ordered the chicken bacon salad and it was huge and very tasty. The chicken was crisp and perfectly cooked, the bacon was the perfect amount of crispy. I will be going back a lot.

I’ve never been. Never even been in the state of OR before but based on these pics, I would love this place. Food looks good, beer and pool tables? Chefs Kiss. I want to go one day.

I came in for lunch and to play some video poker. The machine wouldn’t take my money and the staff said it was because I was trying to pass counterfeit money. Not going back for awhile! However our waitress was very good and the food was great.

First time here, tried the chicken fried steak and ribeye. Both were great but the chicken fried steak was definitely outstanding. Very cool environment and excellent attention from wait staff.

The broasted chicken is worth making the special trip to Prairie Schooner. I was disappointed, however, that my $3 DrPepper had the minty taste of the soap used to clean the soda dispenser. After cleaning, those nozzles are supposed to be purged until only soda comes out. Not enough people are trained to know to do that, so occasionally, a customer will get that soap residue in their soda and spend the rest of the day with an upset stomach and multiple visits elsewhere until the gaseous upset passes. Soap in the soda can happen at just about any restaurant, so I should have know to stick with drinking water instead.

Go there for the chicken. You won’t be sorry. Just don’t order a soda there, and you should enjoy your experience there.

I’ve included photos of their menu from 10/24/2024.
