Got burgers and a side. Burgers were not even seasoned, there was like 6 mushrooms for $5. The people that worked there, their family was there sitting at the booth behind us. Their annoying kid kicking the high chair the whole time. The mother didn’t say anything to the brat either. Waitress didn’t come check on us. We asked for a togo box, thought that would be a clue for her to bring the check over. We sat there a couple more minutes and I finally said do we come up to the register and pay or what she’s like yeah you can. Sitting there watching us the whole time we were eating obviously you know that we’re finished. Very unprofessional and poor service. The food wasn’t even that good either. Won’t go back there again, even if it was free. I gave her $2 tip and she shouldn’t even have got that!

Ate here wouldn’t really recommend. Sat down watched 2 tables order that got there after us and then the lady told us that she forgot about us. After 35 min to be waited on we finally get to order and it took almost an hour to get our food. And the food was just okay. The “hype” that people told us about this place was not accurate

This place is one of a kind. You’ll walk on peanut shells to get to your table. Don’t expect to enjoy a booth without ripped or duct taped seats. It adds to the ambiance!
Most everything is fried. Let’s call it what it is- an attraction…not fine dining.
I enjoyed the mountain oysters, frog legs could have been cooked a little longer, burger was top notch
Beers are cold, peanuts plentiful.
And grab a keepsake t-shirt- you’ll be the envy of your neighbors.

The chicken fried steak sandwich is enormous and sooooo good, as are the onion rings and fried pickles! My family loves going to the Nut Hut! Might be our new favorite local place to eat!

Small standalone restaurant with ample parking. Restaurant started life as a house and is now a small eatery and bar. Their namesake dish is mountain oysters (which are good) but their other dishes are great. Great little place. Highly recommend
