I got my food and everything was pretty good except the sirloin I ordered was definitely NOT a sirloin. It was a flank steak or something, and when I asked about it they assured me it was a sirloin. Sirloin doesn’t have those fibers and shouldn’t be that chewy. Owner may want to go back and check their sirloin. Our dog loved the naked fries.

Straightforward restaurant with simple American dishes with some New Mexican items with a brunch feeling. I had a cowboy burger with truffle fries, tasty and to the point. My wife had sirloin and eggs. Straight and to the point. Service was a little slow but not bad.

Love! Love! Love! This place. We had our sandwiches made on the bread, so good! The Hatch Cowboy Burger is delicious! The truffle parmesan fries are to die for! The desserts were almost too pretty to eat, dragon fruit lemon tart and the salted caramel cheesecake. Save room for them or order to share for the table of 5 like we did. The dining room decor is beautiful, love the tables and the fresh flowers on each. We came close to the time dining room was closing for breakfast and ordered lunch rather than brunch. (The time change our bellies had not “sprung ahead” with it )
Our server did a excellent job!

Whew…I have to first compliment the owner Sara for taking her stand concerning a recent Karen’s complaints. Awesome job my dear, you must be adored by your employees. I’ve never read an owner’s response so direct and to the point in regards to a poor review. I hope that more reviews by owners of businesses are as honest and unconcerned about what others think as yours is, and defend their employees so well. It makes me even more satisfied with my visits to your wonderful restaurant, bar, and breakfast and my many stays at the Plaza Hotel.

I have patronized all three of the previously mentioned food and drink establishments in the Plaza Hotel over the last 4 years and each was beyond reproach, perfect in their respective fields, with food and drinks as good as it gets. I spend half my year in Folsom, NM and the other half (winter) in a small town outside of Tucson, San Manuel. I drive back and forth more than just my annual address change times because I love to explore dirt roads and visit small towns. I also attend the Sedona full moon drumming nights at least 2-3 times during summer. I’m a Djembe drummer and have been at over 50 full moon events over the last 30 years, largely because I Lived in Sedona for 20 years.

This night I ordered the filet mignon because it is my reference standard for evaluating fine dining. At other times I have sampled both the specials and the regional items in order to enjoy the chef’s choices and culinary skill. On my most recent dining visit I had a few questions for my lovely server who went to the kitchen to ask the chef. A minute later the chef came to my table and we chatted about the source of his beef (his family’s ranch) and where it was processed (High Country Meats in Raton). He’s a friendly, talented man and is comfortable explaining his restaurant’s ethos and his love of local food. I thanked him and left feeling very fulfilled.

The young lady who was my server was excellent and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is peaceful and an example of restored, cared-for historical beauty. Yes, those chandeliers were amazing. The music that I heard from the kitchen was perfect for my style yet might not fit everyone’s night. So what, it was soft enough that the perfection of the food and dining experience made it insignificant, though it was just my cup of mate.

Thank you sir chef and owner Sara for a restaurant that I look forward to dining at every time I drive I-25 north or south.

Had the smash burger and truffle fries and had the steak and truffle fries. So the fries in both where over cooked and they had little to no truffle sauce on them and it seems Parmesan used isnt just fresh Parmesan but the store bought powder. Burger wasn’t bad but wasn’t good they didn’t have any ketchup or mustard and with that said with me getting it to go there was no mustard or ketchup as well in the bag. The steak frites where chewy by far not good at all. Honestly not edible the sauce that was on them was ok. Maybe the food is great and i need a different meal but the fries aren’t edible after ordering it I noticed the lady next to me order steak and truffle fries and not touch the fries at all.

I visited Las Vegas on my last trip to New Mexico and decided to stop by Prairie Hill Cafe while there because of the good reviews and it’s safe to say that they live up to them! My friend and I started in the bar across from the restaurant for a few drinks and the charcuterie tray, all of which were amazing. Then went over for dinner, I ordered the special which was a NY strip steak, calabasitas, and enchiladas. The next morning we went down for breakfast and I ordered the breakfast burrito (which was MASSIVE) and the French toast which they said is made with their own fresh baked sourdough! Service was top notch, even with the very large event being held at the hotel. Overall fantastic experience, I will definitely be back in the future!

3.16.24. We had our first date here back in 2021. We came for our third year anniversary. We had the Verano steak salad, and my fiancée had the Little Figgy, for our drinks we had lavender lemonade, and Thai ice tea. Our waitress was super sweet attentive, we received our food fast, prices are good. Definitely a place to check out while visiting Vegas.

I traveled 1,472 miles from Orlando to eat at this restaurant after seeing so many delicious and decadent foods posted on their social media sites! Orlando has a rich culinary scene and this comes with extremely high standards! I came in March to celebrate my 40th birthday with family and the food was OUTSTANDING!!! Well worth the wait and the many miles traveled! The farm to table concept coupled with the genius culinary creations that come out of this kitchen is simply stated as EXQUISITE! Highly recommend! **Quality, freshly made to order food comes with a quality price but knowing you are helping local farmers and supporting small businesses is PRICELESS** Already planning my next trip to NM and this most certainly will include another visit to Prairie Hill Cafe! ❤️

Incredible, located inside the Plaza hotel this restaurant is amazing. I ordered the “Gustavos Picatta” and it was great. After dinner I ordered their desert special and their deserts are incredible. Overall this restaurant is a great place to eat dinner or lunch. If you’re in Las Vegas New Mexico I would definitely recommend you visit the Prairie Hill Cafe.
