Great chop. Not as big as I expected from previous comments, but it was tasty and well worth the money.
Service was not the most professional but it is a small town and they made up with their friendliness.
An eclectic decor with a lot of antiques hanging around.
Maybe another stop sometime would be in order to try out a piece of beef. Next time we are geocaching in the area.
Cheesecake is wonderful. You can certainly tell it is homemade.

My husband and I had dinner here three times. This was back in late December. We loved it. Burgers were made from scratch, juicy, over-sized and they even served it to us medium-done as requested. Also well-priced. Fries and onion rings were great too. Excellent selection of beer. We enjoyed the ice-cold IPA on tap, served in chilled glasses. I would love to go in again, but I’m not from the area.

Loved the food and experience! Have been there several times. Thick, delicious, juicy, and perfectly cooked pork chops. Great fish tacos. Candied bacon on my BLT — surprising, but wonderful. Very family-friendly service; relaxed, rustic atmosphere; and clean establishment. Would definitely recommend giving this little piece of history a shot in Nebraska City. Owners care very much about your opinions.

Well normally we’ve had a great experience coming here but we brought my family to enjoy a dinner for my brothers birthday and it was almost an embarrassment! Everyone who had chicken complained it was extremely over cooked and dry. My boyfriend ordered a Philly and it was the size of something you would find on the kids menu (for $9 that is completely ridiculous!!) and not to mention the meat was tough and hard to chew, he eventually threw it away. I’m very disappointed!!! Our waitress was very nice but there seemed to be no urgency in any form of service. The food took nearly an hour. Not sure we will be back anytime soon.

After the cockroach decided to join us for dinner, they brought out one overcooked and dry porkchop with almost cooked onions, very little flavor and almost no mushrooms. The cheesy potatoes are amazing however. The burger that wasn’t too bad. Bun was cold, however and the two tiny slices of bacon were hardly noticeable. It has a nice atmosphere though, like a saloon style atmosphere. It was a little tough digesting our meal to the Michael Jackson medley tough. I think, if they stepped up their menu, they’d have a great place. I’m reluctant to go back but I believe they’re worth a second chance. Could’ve been an off night maybe?

Just passing through we wanted a good ‘ol Nebraska steak. Service was a bit slow at first, but good. My burger was super dry and bland. We also got the chophouse steak for $16. It was also disappointing. Dry, tough, and bland. It also came with freezer bag veggies. We then proceeded to get the “homemade brownie” which was one of those mug brownies along with some freezer burnt ice cream. $40 later we left dissatisfied. Fries were good!

It was ok. The BBQ Pork was nothing special and i had a huge piece of fat in mine. My girlfriend’s Steak Philly was super bland and the steak was chewy. I was excited to try this place but it was very mediocre. We may try it again as the burgers we saw looked very good.

Ribeye was tough and lacked flavor, only an 18 oz offered on the menu, was looking for a smaller portion size. Service was quick, not one person in the place and the server spent her time in the backroom either cooking or doing home work, not a friendly atmosphere. The place was very clean and decor was very nice.
