Great little old school drive-in style experience with fresh burgers and soft serve dessert treats. We had a shake, a dipped cone, a banana split, and a couple of corn dogs. Can’t wait to go back for burgers! Servers were great and super fast. Lovely little spot.

Me and my friend went out for a girls night and went to go watch a movie at the movie theater in Starke and after we went to this place to get ice cream. We ended up ordering two small ice creams one of them was vanilla ice cream with fudge and the other one was chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles a simple order. Well we got told to go back to our car and wait there and it will be delivered to our car and the lady will get our total all together and we will pay when she delivered them to the car. Well she came out with two small ice creams and my order was correct but she messed up my friends order which wasn’t that big of a deal but then we get handed our ice cream and mine is spilling all out of the side, my friend then asks for the total for the two ice creams that were small and she said and I quote “$22.02” I was in shock I have never paid that much for let alone two small ice creams and she said that she thought we said cones when it was very obvious we said cups small and she was holding cups not cones? And she proceeded to then say well I’ll do this and took 4 dollars and said she would pay for the rest even though 4 dollars was around the right amount for the total the point is she was trying to rip us off meanwhile she had a really ugly attitude poor customer service!! Don’t go there the ice cream really wasn’t that good let alone for you to pay 22 dollars for two smalls! Teenagers don’t go here the lady will try to rip you off!

Been to Powell’s a few times. There is high turnover there. Problems:
1. Because you’re outside, the weather influences your stay. When it’s too hot or cold, you won’t want to sit at the picnic-style tables even though they’re shaded. Pity the waitresses walking to & fro with food.
2. Right next door is a thrift store. Apparently it’s run by a local church…on certain afternoons they ruin the dining experience with the sermon in their back lot–which is attached to Powell’s parking lot. If you are there, you’ll be unable to avoid hearing an incoherent, tent revival-style tirade about “JEEEZUS KRAAST”….really kills the vibe. Again, pity the poor waitresses subjected to that sonic assault.
3. The restaurant itself hasn’t been changed in decades…really needs structural updating.

Shakes were delicious and large portions. Ordering was a little confusing, with a lot of people standing around, didn’t know that we were paying till the end, server only brought one spoon with two milkshakes.
