This place gives off a real “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” vibe. The owner is an established restaurateur who is local to the area, which probably sets the vibe. It’s a sports bar with too many screens to count showing all varieties of sports. Food and service are very good. The menu selections rise above typical “Pub food” and their burgers, including their smashburgers, are top-line. Shown is my most recent “balanced meal” of their wedge salad and meatball appetizer. Great place to hang out with friends and make new ones. Also, quality pool tables and piano.

Came here on a Friday after work to watch the first game of the World Series. Atmosphere was inviting and casual. Lots of options for seating and a dog friendly establishment. Food and drink were tasty and staff were super friendly and attentive. Great place to stop by for a casual evening.

I would of loved to leave a good review but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The owner had mentioned that you can’t bring drink in from next door due to at taco taco next door they told us they would take our food to Social house and we had seen someone get food there to but apparently it only applied to us. I understand same owner but different establishment but they should never said it’s ok to eat at either or next time should have sign on window. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable eating out been a loyal customer for more than a decade never had an issue last time going.

My husband and I tried this place for dinner and I have to say it was extremely disappointing. The ambiance is sport bar style with TVs lining the room which is one big open area, with some booths along the sides, where we sat, and bar height tables in the middle, with a bar at one side of the room. This makes it loud and not relaxing, and the lighting is somewhat bright and distracting. The service was ok, although I did have to ask for a tea refill, and our server came by once to see how we were doing.

But the major disappointment was the food. I decided to try the andouille sausage pasta. The menu describes it like this: “Andouille Sausage, Bell Peppers in a Spicy Creamy Sauce”. Sounded good but when it arrived and I tasted it, I realized it was just Frank’s Red Hot sauce with cream. This sauce is normally used on buffalo chicken wings and it is not just spicy-it is hot-and also has a lot of vinegar in it, so it is sour as well. Great on chicken wings with a bunch of ranch dressing to help soften the bite, but it was disgusting on the pasta and ruined it. The menu should state it is in buffalo hot sauce-not spicy, creamy sauce. I never would have ordered it if I knew it was going to be drenched in this. The meal comes with a braided plain bread, which I killed off because I could not eat that pasta, and there was nothing else served with the meal. The sausage was ok, but not very much in the plate.

My husband opted for the Chicken Parmesan. It was a large piece of chicken, with a good amount of sauce and cheese on it. The chicken was sitting on a bed of plain fettuccine noodles, which didn’t have any extra sauce, so were just bland. His plate also came with plain sautéed veggies, which were cooked crisp tender. They were ok, but didn’t seem to have any kind of seasoning.

We did take our leftovers home as I hate to throw away expensive restaurant food, but my husband offered to swap plates with me, so instead of nasty Frank’s pasta, I have plain, boring Chicken Parm.

Overall, very unimpressed and I definitely will not be wasting our hard earned money here again.

Went in last night with my daughter. Got the chicken penne pasta which was tasty, but the chicken could definitely be more tender. Recieved exceptional service from our waiter, Kevin despite the resturaunt being pretty busy. Impressive selection of beers and plenty of tv’s, a pool table, and a shuffle board make it difficult to be bored. I will be back!

Great service, very friendly, went in for apps and a drink, stayed for a meal! First splitting some wings, then had the flatbread, it was great, and my friends pasta and salad looked fantastic aswell.
One of the most comfortable little restaurants in poway!

I recently visited one of Poway’s newest restaurants and was most impressed! Poway Social House occupies what was formerly known as Players. In fact, the old signage was still up so it may be confusing for some. The window though was cheerfully painted with their new logo, so I knew I was in the right place. This establishment comes from the same folks behind the neighboring Taco Taco Poway which has been a North County institution for years. Upon entry I was warmly greeted by the staff and took a seat at the bar. I immediately noticed the impressive selection of beers on tap. The staff were all so friendly, helpful, and genuine. Working together as a team, they took care of me very nicely and I felt right at home.

The menu here is a fantastic myriad of appetizers, light eats, pasta, pizza, and handhelds. Eating light, I ordered a “Chopped Wedge” and it was outstanding! Iceberg lettuce, maters, red onion, bacon, and funky Gorgonzola cheese. It was such a generous portion for the affordable price of only $10. It even comes with a tasty garlic knot braid. On my second visit I had the Meatballs appetizer. Loved the meatballs, however the bread side tasted underdone and gummy this time. They do have a Happy Hour Monday-Friday, 3:00-6:00 pm featuring a variety of drink and appetizer specials. I wish this new restaurant great success and plan to visit again very soon! Poway Social House does share a parking lot with the DMV and Wal Mart so plan your strategy accordingly and pack a pound of patience, or maybe a Xanax.

Poway Social Club is a hidden gem! The space is beautiful, the vibes are always great, and the owners, Olga and Eddie, make every visit feel effortless. Delicious food, tons of beer options, and a top-shelf selection of spirits. Can’t wait to come back!
