I stopped by Pour House New Orleans the day after Thanksgiving, and even though the bar wasn’t crowded, the atmosphere was super chill and welcoming. Sean, our bartender, was attentive, friendly, and made great drinks. Mr. Al in the kitchen absolutely did his thing the brisket tacos and quesadillas were excellent, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly.

Great food, great drinks, and great people. I’ll definitely be back!

My family and I went here after Mardi Gras, and though they had a limited menu because of it, they were super accommodating for a big party. The owner was really friendly and helpful, and the food was great! We’d definitely come back on our next visit.

Cute little bar. Not much room. Had pulled pork and it was really good. Very misleading on drink prices. Be careful and ask what the entire drink cost is. Each ingredient charged separately.. so weird. It says well drinks $7 but then they add orange juice it’s another $7

Went for lunch. It’s basically a dive bar so I wasn’t expecting much. The food was just ok I guess. Got pulled pork which was lukewarm at best and coleslaw because that’s basically all they had available. They were out of several items on the menu otherwise maybe something might have been a winner. If you’re coming here to drink the food will probably be passable for you but not for me. I wouldn’t return again. Sorry

I’ve been in New Orleans for about 90 days, and this was the weirdest experience to date. The bartender was not particularly rude but had zero energy or vibe. Almost immature. A group came in, and after taking their order, she asked, Do you want to start a tab? Do you have a card or something? Who talks like that? Most bartenders state, Hey, I just need a card to swipe, and I will give it back to you. When one of them asked if she could turn the TV to ESPN, she replied, I don’t know, maybe. Anyway, I ordered a margarita and brisket sandwich ($15 and $12). I give the bartender two 20s, and she brings back 4 dollars and 68 cents. I asked about the change because what I ordered was only $27, and with 10 percent tax, it is $2.70. Her reply, it’s tax and gratuity. She offered no real explanation of the tax and gratuity and said, I just work here. It’s not about the money but more about being a human. Not to mention, I’ve never seen a bar charge gratuity for one person.

When you order 3 $8 beers and its almost $40. They are not letting customers know they are being charged gratuity on ever beer. That wouldn’t be a problem if they were just open about the policy. When asked about it the response was “you should be a local then” . There are plenty of other places to get drinks and food in the area , so be cautious.

Fun bar. A good New Orleans walk off the street and fit right in bar. The BBQ was fantastic, beer the beans as your side. Trust me.

Visited the place twice during my stay in New Orleans and I must say that this place has one of the better bartenders I’ve come across in years.
Maddie, if you are reading this, you deserve praise for your social skills which is way too uncommon these days among other bartenders.
The bar itself is abit small, so it’s not recommended for bigger groups during busy nights.

Worst service in NOLA. The food was ok but everything else was a ZERO. There was a person who eventually showed up at the bar to take an order. Half of the menu was unavailable. Really limited alcohol selection with only soda for a mixer. Made us feel like it was a real inconvenience that we showed up to spend some money. Weakest pour in NOLA on a straight captain and coke. Gave me nothing but a plastic fork to eat brisket, no napkins, no offer of sauce. Then they did the automatic 22% gratuity thing for a drink I ordered at the bar, food i ordered and picked up at the bar, same level of service you might get at a fast food restaurant. If you own this establishment you are blowing it.

Food was cold . And had hair in it . Honestly after a 10 hour flight 1 drink 2 waters . Cold jambalaya rice and beans with hair in it the only thing that was beefing with a brisket sandwich. I really don’t know what I spent 66 dollars on . Do not recommend
