We had a terrific dinner at Potros today. The servings are large, the food is delicious, the drinks are beautiful! The service is very good and far. We sat outside and enjoyed it The only minor criticism is that the restaurant seems very loud. It was a busy time of day, and lots of people were enjoying the great food. We will be back.

Great food! Was a bit hesitant initially since I’d never seen a Mexican/Pizza/Italian place before and was worried about their menu being too large. But the high ratings just made me really curious about this spot and I’m so glad I tried it out!
I ordered their house special pasta and I have to say it’s one of the best pasta I’d ever had. It wasn’t overly creamy and the flavor, texture, and taste were all super on point and I wish I checked out this place earlier. The portion was also huge and most people will have leftovers. My friends tried out their Mexican side of the menu and they also enjoyed them. I’d say this place was definitely one of my favorites in the area.

The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. Food is delicious. Had salads at lunch, tacos for dinner and a variety of other things. This evening we had the burrito Mexicano and it looked exactly like the menu and tasted as good as it looks. Also had the salmon and it was cooked perfect and the veggies and lobster bisque was delicious. We’ll keep coming back.

Potros is the best. I have been coming here since they opened and I always recommend it to others. Food is fabulous. Service is great. I was there Wednesday evening and I sent my son there tonight with his girlfriend and he said the food was excellent and the manager came over and asked him how everything was this is a first class Mexican restaurant won’t go anywhere else

For a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall in Richmond, VA… I was thoroughly impressed. The food is very clearly all fresh made and all came out well seasoned. Actually like extremely well seasoned. The Stuffed Jalapeño appetizer was arguably the best stuffed Jalapeños I’ve ever had, like where did that come from? I also had table side guacamole, which they make right in front of you to your spice liking. Also delicious and fresh.
For the entree, I had the Churrasco platter. Every component was delicious. I will say the bacon wrapped shrimp had too much bacon to shrimp ratio, but too much bacon is also not much to complain about. The ribeye, chile relleno, and rice were seasoned so well. The odd star of the plate may have been the green onions with the bulb, a super crisp, sweet pop of onion flavor to cut the richness.
The frozen marg was kinda your standard Mexican frozen marg fair but I had no complaints about it either.
Reasonably priced, delicious food. If I lived in the area I’d be back regularly, unfortunately only in town for business but I’m very happy I stopped here!

Had an amazing dinner here with my husband. Everyone was super attentive, there was a friendly and fun atmosphere, and the food was SO GOOD. Seriously the most delicious enchiladas verdes, quesadilla birria, margaritas, and churros.
This is our second time here and we will definitely be back!!

Pretty much the best Mexican place around! The music and decor are lively and inviting the second you walk in, and staff is friendly and attentive (ours remembered us!). Service is fairly quick, and the value is good for the amount and flavor. Food was amazing-didn’t leave a single grain of rice on the plate! Highly recommend the whole roasted fish. Definitely coming back.

My husband and I stopped in here on Sunday for a date lunch. It was PACKED, but that just told me how popular they were. Service was timely, friendly, and great. The food was delicious and I just loved the atmosphere. I think I just found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! I loved their versatile food menu (including pasta!) and a very complete drunk menu. I can’t wait to keep going back to try out more items.

I had a great dining experience at Potros Restaurant! The food was delicious, but what really stood out were the drinks. The strawberry mojito I had was fantastic—refreshing and full of flavor. My sister tried the margarita, and it was equally impressive. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the servers were attentive and friendly. We also tried the churro and tres leches dessert, and they were amazing—definitely recommend! I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes in the future!
