Reviews
Potbelly in downtown Phoenix at CityScape is a reliable spot for toasted sandwiches and quick lunches. The build-your-own option ($11.49) lets you pick breads like Jewish Rye or Whole Wheat, meats such as Pastrami, Corned Beef, Brisket, or Turkey, and cheeses (extra $1). The standout Smoked Salmon Nova Sandwich ($12.99) on a fresh bagel with cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and cucumber is delicious and generous. Pair it with matzo ball or chicken noodle soup (SM $6.29/LG $11.49) for comfort. Sides like wedge fries or coleslaw are solid add-ons. Great location near arenas, friendly service—perfect for a satisfying deli fix!
The pastrami is fresh and flavorful, and there are lots of choices of vegetables and toppings to put on the sandwich as well. The staff are also great and took my order right away and got it done really quick.
A simple “I’m sorry” goes a long way in customer service. Additionally, I suggest starting to warm up food before opening so orders can be fulfilled on time. Because of this delay, I was late to my morning meetings, and all of my coffee drinks were cold as well.
The entire interior design is mostly the same as their Chicago shops, while it’s a bit brighter (in the good way) maybe due to the sunshine of Phoenix’s ?
Ordered steakhouse sandwich with “all in” along with root beer, what a nice Sunday afternoon.
