Disappointed, it was cold outside & I expected some good hot soup. The loaded potato soup was watery, flavorless, disgusting. The Italian sandwich was better.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but the situation that took place yesterday evening really upset me. I stopped by the Ford City location after 4PM, I had my 10 year old niece with me. I ordered a BIG Wreck sandwich so I could split it with my her, totally unaware that kids could eat free at that exact time & day. I sat down with her there, never leaving the establishment. As I looked up from my food at a far window, that was nearly blocked by another patron dining in, I noticed the sign said kids eat free between the hours of 3PM until close from Friday Sunday (weekends). I was shocked. I had only stopped there for her and she was still hungry. I walked to the counter to inquire about the free kids meal I could’ve gotten her had I known. The manager on his duty fought his hardest not to honor the deal although he & his 2 coworkers totally understood that I had just bought a $15 dollar sandwich. He said he couldn’t give me the free kids meal because I had already checked out. He instructed me to order a soup which totaled out to another $8 I would have to spend in order to honor the deal. That was totally UNFAIR and at that point the soup would be more than the sandwich which made absolutely no sense since I already purchased a $15 sandwich. You honestly could have given me the free sandwich that I could have gotten when I purchased my original order. I was absolutely nice about it. And yes, I was unaware and didn’t see the sign, but at no point when they saw me with a child did they even bother to mention the special deal they had for children. It would’ve been a really thoughtful & meaningful gesture had they just honored the sign as we dined in. I didn’t think it was fair to try & charge me for a soup I did not want, so I gave up after the manager told me “that’s just how it is, and it’s nothing he could do about it.” He went out of his way to be s jerk. I will never visit that establishment again.

I ordered lunch today through the Potbelly app. The first thing I noticed from my order was the Mac & cheese. It looked off in color. It was old and dry, I didn’t even eat it. My cookie I ordered was stale and my sandwich barely had chicken. I ended up throwing out my food which was disappointing since I don’t like wasting food.

I usually ask to sub salami for extra ham on a wreck, and I swear they never do it. A wreck has ham on it, and it seems obvious that “extra” means … more than that. It’s a little thing, but they’re very quick to make sure you pay for additions, despite ignoring that kind of thing. They always confirm for me that they will, and they always, always … don’t.

I love Potbelly’s & I never had an issue with Potbelly’s. So, two nights ago my little sister wanted some Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies. We got the mini’s that come in the 12 pack. They are sooo good!!! Anyways, this morning she’s eating a cookie and she bit into a metal that was in her cookie!!!! she almost chipped her tooth. I’ve been trying to reach HR but they aren’t answering and no one has returned my calls. This is the worst experience I have ever encountered
